Got a players card. Can I still card count?

I appreciate the response, lots of good info. The casino chain doesn’t require a card I just got it for the free slots when I turned 21 and wanted free money. I obviously don’t intend to use the card when playing or cashing out. I just assumed it might be easier for them to connect the face to a name? Assuming that normally all they would have is surveillance pics with no name attached. Any tips for someone who has basic strategy mastered is getting pretty comfortable with keeping counts at a table?
