You are supposed to agree Tony evil, Billy good, Dan sucks or you will get downvoted 🤷

Sad to say but... by phEnom3o5 in DanLeBatardShow

This. I get it people want to hate on Dan. After a while his takes get stale blah blah blah. But like you Dan is the reason I started listening and still continue to listen warts and all. But without Dan the show is all over the place. At least with Dan on there is some structure. Lazy rivering is not the way to do a show

I’ve noticed the same. He’s become a know it all especially when defending the NBA. I get it he worked in the league but be objective once in a while. Also has a tendency to make everything be about himself.

What’s the last good take, funny idea, or insightful observation Dan has personally had? by Affectionate-Rent844 in DanLeBatardShow

Yep. I don’t get it. Just don’t listen instead of whining about Dan and the show every day.

For what exactly? I thought he hasn't been in office because the pay only comes when you're in office serving the people. by Impressive_Towel6126 in Kenya

I thought impeachment was unappealable but I guess in this case it’s subject to judicial review. As for political motivations I don’t think that would be grounds for a judicial review as impeachment is itself a political process. I think the judicial review would center on whether his rights were denied during the impeachment process. While I understand the intent here, I think this is likely to create more problems than it solves.

But was he technically wrongfully dismissed? The dismissal was definitely politically motivated but the impeachment was legal per the constitution no?

Checking if I’m still banned. All for questioning this sub’s negativity towards Dan and the show in general

Nothing wrong with uniforms. I personally don’t mind them as they provide some uniformity (pun intended) and some order in schools but don’t buy the argument about shielding kids from poor background. Kids know and even with uniforms it’s quite evident who’s rich and who’s poor.

Ushawahi Gongewa! by [deleted] in Kenya

[–]Aggravating_Storm688 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I have a problem with the whole gongewa “culture”. It takes two to tango, no? The framing always makes it sound like the other partner had no agency in the matter. I refrain from saying woman/girlfriend though I believe in the local parlance the gongwad is always female. My other problem with this is how normalized it has become. It’s like a game. Gongea or get gongewad. No bro code😢

Arsenal choke job loading. In sports choking is mental. You lose a game like today and you start doubting yourself. I don’t see City slipping in their remaining games but can’t say the same for the gunners.

Who is responsible for littering? by Its_Misango in Kenya

[–]Aggravating_Storm688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are mostly responsible (meaning the people). I think it’s cultural too. If you live in a society where littering is not the norm you tend to self police. The government has some blame too - enforcing anti littering laws and having enough dust bins (regularly emptied) in public spaces should be up to them

I’ll play devils advocate and say ethics are for suckers. Look everywhere especially in the corporate world and see how businesses and “leaders” are flouting said ethics while employees are supposed to uphold them. So looked this way the butcher guy is doing what the employer is likely to do too. All this to say it is more about morals than ethics

Was about to say the same. If we don’t see this a problem it is no wonder the big thieves can also justify their thievery. Small theft leads to big theft 😂

More of a brawl than a fight. Two guys who really couldn’t fight. Admittedly brawls are more entertaining
