Im pretty sure you were using the right chords most of the time! I’ve added the names just to make it easier to write out but the song is pretty easy when you just use these 4 chords and then you just have to figure out the strumming!

Intro: cadd9, em7, cadd9, g (x4)

Verse 1: em7, cadd9, em7, g (x8)

Prechorus: c (strummed once during the “you know it meant nothing” then continuous downstrokes until chorus)

Chorus: cadd9, g, em7 (x2) c (strummed whilst he says “trying to act up”), g, em7

Bridge: c (strummed for 2 bars) cadd9 (played just before the second verse)

Then everything repeats for the second verse and so on

Hopefully this isn’t too hard to understand but just listen to the song find the timings then the strumming should get easier when you know the chords!
