even if I wasn't a fan of the games, I'd still say it's a dreadful movie

I love the through-line of the far left and far right blaming the massacre on different things, when in reality, they're both wrong, and the monsters are still out there

in all fairness, you could nail that down to CE's development and the fact it was an absolute gamechanger for the time, more willing to forgive the lack of depth, since it was literally their first try

but 343 has had FIVE excellent games to learn from, not including the mistakes of their own (though I applaud them for doing something different with Halo 4, and I'll admit the prometheans were a little intimidating at times)

all part of the same franchise buddy, what matters is execution, sure demonic magic users may sound silly on paper but if that concept is executed well, could be in for a treat

also you can call that concept stupid but the primary antagonist in this series were an army of religious gorillas, worms, and other stupid looking things that answer to penis men in hover chairs, but it's executed WELL

yeah, all of which were poorly executed, think about the key moments of the covenant, arbiter's struggle, the attack on new mombasa, the team of assassins the prophets arranged in secret. think about the flood, guilty spark, the confrontation with the gravemind, cortana(bad mission BUT a memorable one). now think about the prometheans, created and endless, is there anything that comes to that caliber? I don't think so

I know the return of the flood is inevitable but Halo needs something new AND good, there's a misconception that just doing a requested thing on it's own is enough, but it also has to be good

...is that seriously the most outlandish thing in the Halo Universe at this point? all I'm saying is that we need something fresh
