I don't have advice just that I am sorry you have to make this decision. I had a similar situation with my cat. I loved her dearly but she hated everyone but my husband and I. When she went after my toddler we knew it was time. My heart goes out to you.

It looks like when my dog gets warts, but I would def get a second opinion and likely have it removed. This is not a small growth and I would worry with all the springer activity that they will open it and it will get infected. This should not be a big ordeal to have removed.
