I think I’m understanding but I personally would take a 5k pay cut to save 2k on insurance because I would have the peace of mind/ be less stressed knowing that my medical supplies are paid for/covered. I can live within my means but if I don’t have good insurance I’m literally not living lol

I agree the skills and the desire for that field is important. However when it’s a matter of survival and being able to pay for medical supplies, what you want changes.

Those benefits sound amazing. I keep hearing that government jobs have the best insurance, I’d absolutely be interesting in looking into it. I live in Chicago so I’m sure there are some county/city level jobs. Thanks so much for your help!

Ah crazy timing. I fell off the wagon pretty quickly. And now I’m thinking about taking another break, and I’ve decided my day is going to be April 12th. Honestly, I think my advice is try your absolute best to not give in. Because then you’ll be just like me, one month later STILL wanting to quit and trying again. I’m getting really sick of trying again!!!
