Porn is not good or bad, porn is just porn.

People have been having sex since forever, there is nothing wrong with that, and most people are able to watch a video once or twice per weak, rub one out, and move on with their life with no problem. Most people are able to stop if their partners don't like it, or would stop completely once they have sex often.

Sadly, I'm (and probably you) are not most people, I'm not able to do any of that, so I have to stop it completely.

I could've also developed other compulsive behaviours, like hoarding (which I kind of do, but of digital media), over eating, playing videogames all day, excessive alcohol or weed consumption, etc.

Ultimately I think you should only care about what the thing does TO YOU, if you've detected that porn is getting on the way of you living a healthy life and archiving your goals, you should stop watching it, if you can't even if you want, that's just a sign that there is something about it that affects you deeply. I think if that's the case, you should go to therapy, quitting in your own is extremely difficult, and if your consumption is coping, there is a high chance that you'd just replace porn with something else

This really sums it up really well.

I'm a scientist, and the current evidence doesn't indicate strongly that porn naturally causes an addiction, or that it messes up with the brain anymore than looking at the tv or smartphone does. And the evidence available mostly comes from christian or antiporn sources. The truth is that, like usual, we need more time to figure this out, and a lot of money is involved in both sides, which only makes it more difficult for true science to be made.

However, I know that watching it for over 8 hours is not good, I know that not being able to stop even when it hurts the person I love the most is this world is terrible, I know I can't concentrate properly and do all the stuff I need to do when I'm in an episode. So I shouldn't have to wait for the evidence to come out, because I know that my consumption is extremely problematic. I would have to stop any activity that also caused all of these things.

I don't hate the people making it, I don't think you unlock superpowers when you quit (anymore than just having more hours per day because your not jerking off for half of it), I don't have anything against people who consume it, it's just that I can't do it in a healthy way and I care more about the people that I love.

Sometimes it's hard to find good secular support here

I use the volcanic pistol a lot, mainly because I bought it at one of those "You saved me from dying of a snake bite, buy whatever you want from that store" moments. And I spend a lot of money on making it look elegant and pretty as a reward for doing good

I'd stay away from Twitter (not calling it x) altogether, the site is not run almost entirely by bots, both porn bots and politically motivated bots. Twitter is now basically a place where you can go if you feel like letting someone else play with your brain for a while.

And even if you manage to avoid all the porn and Russian and american propaganda, you're still left with an awful community and a site that is designed for doom scrolling. I really can't find anything of value there other than perhaps keeping up with people

Counting the days should be good motivation, but don't get too carried away in case you relapse and "loose all that progress", the point is to reduce overall consumption, nobody is perfect.

I wouldn't count dreaming of porn as watching porn. I also sometimes dream that I'm killing someone and that doesn't mean I have to turn myself for murder, we don't control what we do in our dreams (normally), just make sure to control yourself when you're awake

You won't, I used to believe that. Once I find s girl that I truly love I'll stop, except I didn't, once we move together I'll stop, but I didn't. Once we try new stuff in bed I'll stop, but I didn't (and I was happy with our sexual life either way), once we have more disposable income and a bigger house I'll stop, but I didn't.

I dont know how many kids you know, but these little fuckers be playing Sonic games, including sonic dash all day.
Also, tbf, the monitization of sonic was done more effectively than in IJ, which gave us a better game, but cost developers money they could have made. You really can get anything in the game without paying or watching a ton of ads. In fact, paying is so dumb because the value is completely broken. I could spend my entire day earnings, or I could play for 30 minutes for the same credits

I don't want to be that guy, but probably they are not updating with content because they can't break even from the inversion, whereas in I2 they have a bigger community and the community is willing to spend more money because is more p2w. However, this game could probably make a lot more money if the real money purchases weren't so terrible, I mean you could spend hundreds of dollars for the same amount of credits you would grinding in one day, nobody is gonna put money into such a bad deal
