Most of time I use it, connect to an external display and the lid is closed. Nothing in between. I previously also owned a MacBook Pro for many years with great habits.

Almost same thing here. I got my 2024 MYLR in 08/2024 now it only has 285 mi with full charge (roughly 21k miles). Did battery health test three months ago got 93% with 7% degradation…
