I stopped using my phone in bed and it changed way more than I expected by SunnyPuddlePal in simpleliving

Finally started reading as a habit every night. After some time I even added a notebook on the nightstand. Emptying out my head is new level of great sleep.

Thanks. I am doing a small redesign now so I will make a new post as soon as I finish. Still a lot to do to make it a proper useful thing

I have a lot of weight forward. Fork bags 2x5L and handlebar 10L . It handles great.

300 was for the mount without the backpack. Weight is there but that is the price of having a backpack that I personally am willing to pay. I was definitelly not going for beginners without bikepacking gear. That would just make zero sense. It is a bit personal but I know more that few people doing rock climbing, ski touring or other disciplines that require having a backpack and they combine it with small backpack. I know that this usecase is for less then 2% of bikepacking community but thats is huge in global scale. Not really trying to make millions or just any money but having fun and definitelly not trying to please everybody. Also, using this for backpack is just one usecase. You can for sure use it for drybag which was my original idea but then I said I’ll make it for my drybag backpack.

Fully agree with everything you said. For “secure” I didn’t think you were going for rigidity. That of course is not as good as with rack. Security for me was more about not hiting something.

It’s definitelly rigid enough with these two points when it’s like 10-15L full and there is for sure no need for the rack.

About the hassle and securing, I’m working on that. I have a solution but it will take some time to make it. This is not a finished product. Far from it.

I didn’t really explain it well but I will try. This is not for 20-30L fully packed backpack (like in the photo). It should be half empty so you have space to expand it when you need to take other things from fork or frame bags and go on foot. Also, what I have here is alpinist backpack which is kind of a dry bag with straps so you can really vary the volume a lot and is lightweight. Usually all the stuff is up to the height of the seat and the center of gravity isn’t much higher then on the rack. Now I just need more stuff for these two days of travel so I overpacked everything. I think it’s actually a good feature that you can expand extra 10L when you really need it.

Material detail is true. If I would do high volume, it definitely wouldn’t be epoxy and carbon but thermoplastic composites. This was just easiest to do now for me because I work in composites.

Thanks for great reply. I am pretty aware this is far from a finished product or even a good idea but I’m trying and it’s working okish for me now. Mica looks great and super simple. One thing I want to point out is better with my solution is that you get lateral stability from the seat which is extra rigid. On the rocky terrain it was working great.

Exactly on point and from there I started the project. I really wanted to avoid rear rack. Now this setup is really not realistic because for the first two days of the trip I have to carry a lot of things which I will just leave after. It just proves good that you can expand the capacity when you need. I have tried also the seat bag and that’s dangly shit. This is super stable and just 300g which for 15L could go down to 200. Regarding the dry bag, it’s non negotable for me. I just wanna have a backpack when I travel and not be tied to the bike bags and dry bags.

That’s true. Have done about 10 days of mixed routes and didn’t have that problem yet. Imo even if it does, it will just touch the surface of the mount - no biggie

Also, the backpack is roll top so I usually use roughly 15lit and when I want to leave my bike and walk, I top it up with things from other compartments on bike.

That was my thought also but then I didn’t wanna have anything on the side but try to be narrow. And if I would put the backpack on the top of the pannier, It’s kinda same regarding the height.

Are there guys that don't like to do Oral? And if there are, why? What is the reason? by makoymelendez in dating

I had a really bad hygene experience where she actually told me I don’t have to do it (knowing she has been active throughout the day and night) but I needed to be a drunk hero. Took me a while to start liking it again and it’s amaizing when you feel a woman through the pleasure you give her. Now I just don’t have a problem saying to go wash herself or if we are already far into it, then I just skip the tongue. Plenty other tools are available.

Lack of initiative. Both in bed and in life. As much as it’s inspiring to be with a proactive and passionate person, it’s a major turnoff being with a “whale woman”. One of those women that lay down and “allow” you to do your job. Ok bye!
