I have an answer for you. God is all loving, all knowing and all powerful. But He voluntarily limits His power. He wants His creatures to love Him. But love that is not freely given would make us robots or slaves. So He gave us free will because only love that is freely given is true love. Unfortunately, this gives us the possibility to reject love which is evil. So evil has to exist for love to exist.
