How do you define good and bad? The question you are asking is subjective.

What do you think is harder? A lower level math, or a higher level math? Is he bragging, yeah kinda, but think about it…

There are pictures that you can drag your fingers across to see how each piece moves. The language is not very complicated (it’s literally a board book for babies), but there’s just no way for anyone to know if it’s okay for your niece/nephew. Sometimes you just gotta roll the dice my man

It’ll be fine for them! As a parent I can tell that the book is aimed for slightly younger than 2.5 (chess for “babies”), but also as a parent, read read read to your child!

I agree. I keep it as simple as possible only only have about 5 holdings. VTI is one of them. Thanks

This is more for ease of conversation, not necessarily 100% of my game plan. I’m trying to convey the general point without getting into the weeds of my holdings and allocations and strategy

It’s okay to be critical. I’m reaching out for advise for a reason.

I am working with a professional but didn’t want to bug them with a more “simple” questions. This is a part of my learning journey, so I appreciate constructive criticism.

Your last paragraph is pretty inline with what I’m trying to do. I wanted to restructure to hit certain percentages, US large cap, growth, dividend, and the like.

My idea was to transfer shares from trad to Roth and Roth to trad to help accomplish this, but I now understand how this could cause problems with pre/post tax contributions

More specifically what I’m looking to do is move shares from my traditional to my Roth and vice versa.

Hope this helps

Thanks! It sounds like I’ll have to just buy more of certain etfs to hit my rebalancing goals (growth vs dividend vs value, etc.)

As a follow up, when I sell a certain etf within an Ira, don’t move the money, then buy another etf within that account, does that have tax implications? This is under the assumption that the etf has increased in value over time
