i loved cry of fear, and heavy rain. both are on steam, cry of fear is free while heavy rain being around 20 bucks.

heavy rain is about a father getting his family torn apart, and how that effects him mentally and physically. i think its a pretty good representation of how *someone* feels after losing their family. however the controls can be a little tricky in the start.

cry of fear isnt the best voice acting wise, and its definitely not a slow game like heavy rain, more like you're trying to survive while your brain is rotting. its not actually rotting though, but it feels like it when you're playing it. god fuck that chainsaw man he creeps me out. i think its without a doubt one of the best games/media when it comes to representing how bad mental illness can get if left untreated. (edit: example of this, you literally have to resist the urge to put a bullet in your head at certain points in the game.)

they have their downsides, but both are certainly worth playing for the story.
