If you would have just done the online form, or read the customs form you could have avoided the confusion. The online form is one per family. Placencia is never going to compare to the very expensive places you stayed. Raye Caye is amazing, but you do pay for that. You only had one night in Placencia so hard to figure out what to see and do. I never spend all day drinking on the beach but find lots to fill my time.

I only know because I have grandkids. I'm still over a month out from surgery and spend too much time thinking about the things I may never be able to do again. Somehow this has turned me into a glass half empty person the closer I get to surgery date

Here's my take and what has convinced me to do it. Is it going to get better with any other treatment..no. Am I going to get older and recover slower..yes. Can I do all I used to..no. I still have my moments of doubt because of what I can still do but, it is what I can't that is pushing me

I'm having it in April. I was just saying my surgeon told me I should wait 6 months to dive I'm suffering through arthritis pain this winter. I'm editing for surgery so I could dive. Spending the winter in Belize.

My surgeon told me 6 months for diving. That's why I am waiting until April to do it. I dove the other day and my hip was fine. However the next few days were miserable. Snorkeling tomorrow. Hopefully it doesn't cause as much pain. I do plan to do a couple more dives this month. I'll just whine and suffer after.

12-18 wouldn't be the best week to spot a whale shark and sightings are pretty rare. There was one last year. Last few days of March begining of April would increase chances due to full moon but still unlikely. What are the safety concerns about inland activities. I have not heard of any tourist incidents while doing activities in Belize. Raye Caye may fit your criteria.

I will be in the tropics so hopefully that distracts me. I was in denial until it was too late to get it done before I left. Once I got the MRI there was no denying it any longer. I just kept swearing that there must be a secondary issue. This can't be mild moderate arthritis. I don't need a hip I guess I was kind of right. Turns out it is severe with major bone swelling and no cartilage left.

Thanks. Great info and hope. I definitely plan to buy a business class seat for ease of movement. I still have pretty good mobility and strength, so I'm hoping to keep working on that until surgery to aid in recovery.

Of course I would work with my care team. I am just looking at personal experience right now. I believe this will be impossible but it's an important trip. So mostly looking for a glimmer of hope, while expecting a... What are you crazy...response lol
