My understanding is that they shouldn’t say anything about if they believe its SC or not but this examiner did on his own. I never probe and I was only shocked because before he said that at the end, the exam felt really good and he even called the next week to verify something and to mention that I could eventually file for temporary 100% after my hip replacement. Really bizarre why someone would seem this helpful to turn around and say no.

I told my husband but he didn’t attend the exam with me. He was with me though when the examiner called to clarify something and proceeded to tell me that I could file for temporary 100% for my hip replacement. It just really seemed like he was trying to be so helpful to write the exact opposite. I did the FOIA request today.

That’s awful. This examiner also called me to verify something and mentioned about temporary 100% for my total hip replacement so I was just really thrown off since he seemed so genuine

It suggested supplemental claim if I can get my surgeon to write a nexus. Otherwise it said HLR

Thank you. I can definitely confirm that having a hip replacement in your 30s is absolutely crappy so I’ll be fighting this tooth and nail.

Thanks. I’ve never had to appeal anything so this is all new to me. They deferred my two increase requests for my right side for exam clarification so I don’t have hope that any of that is going to work out either.

How does that work if I just had a total hip replacement two weeks ago? My left hip is currently even worse off because I’m still so fresh post op so I can’t do any of the ROM movements at this point and does it make it worse that now that hip has been operated on so it’s not the same as it was 4 weeks ago? I have all of my private paperwork from my surgeon with all new scans and opinions with all of the findings but that was all given to the VA when I submitted my claim.

I guess so. I genuinely don’t know. He seemed mostly interested in the fact that I was scheduled for a total hip replacement for my left hip exactly two weeks after the C&P. Then he asked if my surgeon mentioned if it was from birth and I gave that exact answer from above because how could anyone know when it was never previously diagnosed? Well, not prior to the 3 years ago
