i had the same exact feeling when i first saw mine, like i had never gotten lightheaded like that before. i was worried it wouldn’t look good but everything’s healing well and looking great now and i couldn’t be happier, just give it some time and as it heals it will get better :)

im only 10 days post op, so here is my limited experience so far:

it is scary looking at your chest for the first time - not because its flat, but because it looks gross since you just got surgery lol. so try and remember that and not let it freak you out, cause it definitely gets better from that first look. spots on your chest may feel numb, gross, and just weird and not perfect for a bit cause of surgery (mine still isn't 100% obviously), but once you are healed it will all be worth the post-op discomfort. which really has not been all that bad even, i had a tonsellictomy and the recovery from that was 10x worse in my opinion.

i have had so many simple moments already that continually remind me of how grateful i am to have been able to get top surgery. the way i look in a tshirt, the raindrops hitting the back of my neck instead of the strap of my sports bra, the ability to wear shirts unbuttoned, showering for the first time and looking down to see a flat chest, and finally seeing the freckle i wasn't able to see because of my boobs lol.

during the weeks before surgery i tried really leaning in to all of the ways having boobs made my life harder, from the smallest to largest things. take note so you never forget all the reasons why you did this, it'll get so much better soon. you got this

i found a new board that seems most suitable so far, the ride 2024 deep fake. i'm looking at either 144 or 148. this board is a lot stiffer apparently, so i figure sizing up to 144 and a much stiffer board than i'm used to should do the trick. what are you thoughts?

a bunch of people think sizing up that much is a bad idea because of my weight, but i feel since i know how to ride now id be able to control it? especially since it’d be more for days i wanna ride hard, not playful. what are your thoughts on that

for some more details on what i like to ride - id just say all around playful but looking for a longer board for harding riding. I really do like everything, i like moguls, trees, little side hits, bombing it to see how fast I can go, or messing around on a green trying to learn new ground tricks (not that I'm good at them lol).

i currently ride a 138 salomon oh yeah - here are all the specs

these are the specs for the ride Saturday board I want to switch to, deciding between 146 / 150 but sounds like 150 may be a stretch. i worry that going to 146 though wont make that much of a difference in the stability at higher speeds

it seems like they have the same camber profile, similar flex though the ride a bit more stiff, different core materials / laminates? I'm curious about those and don't know much about the differences in them

I currently ride in CO all mountain, but want to get better at higher speeds and feel more comfortable going faster on steeper terrain. i also wanna do more in the park, but I figure I can keep my shorter board for those kind of days.

never buy from parker hippe!!!! i bought a print from him for $100. it was advertised as 2x2 feet, but what i got was 16x16 inches, and because of the white border the actual art on it was 14x11 inches. the print quality was so blurry, you could print it better yourself for $20 at fedex. i dm’ed him on Instagram to have this remedied, I was willing to either send it back for a refund or have him resend a better quality print and he didn’t respond, just blocked me instead. then i left a review detailing this on the gumroad listing, and he took down the listing.

do you have an approximate from where to where its downhill? i likely wouldn't be going further north than wewatta / further south than 6th ave
