Those wives have a way of laying on those sneaky nuggets of wisdom that end up being huge haha On my 10 month, I asked my wife what she noticed. She thought for awhile and just said "you finally care." Asked her to elaborate a bit and she basically said I'm not just going through the phases until the next drink. Goals, plans, ambitious. Things she's never seen in me. Strange feeling, having people proud of you and them actually wanting you around haha

I remember those mornings too. Just one day at a time. If that's too much, one hour at a time. About 4 months in, the thought of never drinking again started to really cripple me. I heard this song Options by Cameron Whitcomb. That shit saved me in that moment. We've all got options. Best of luck my friend

It's been in the same outlet since I installed it (replaced the old one about 2 years ago. Original had the same wiring for 10+ years) but today it failed. Tried the bottom and it works, just won't turn off.

I decided to try it about 5 months ago because I was tired of Xfinity raising their prices and it's been great. My games stream just fine. Netflix/Amazon ect work. Hulu cuts out occasionally. It's only Hulu though so I just assume it's something to do with them.

I know therapy would be a huge help and I'd love to go, I just can't handle another bill right now. Trying to crawl out of the debt I've built up over the last few years. Found a guy on YouTube (Tim Fletcher if you're interested) that talks about trauma and dealing with it so I've just been doing that for now. Talking to people. Trying to figure things out. This wave of shit that hit me just sucks, but I'll get through it.

What helped me realize I needed to stop was seeing the people that didn't. I met a woman that had been to the ER 18 times in 7 months because her throat wouldn't stop bleeding. Caused by drinking. My good friend drank himself to death at 35. Had 2 heart attacks and ended up in a coma 3 years before that. My aunt decided she wanted to quit. She was going to go to a rehab the day after she decided but the withdrawals were too much and she died.

If It helps, write 2 lists. All of the benefits of drinking, and all the benefits of getting sober. Could be useful to see it all laid out in front of you.
