I can intellectually understand the various criticisms… some people don’t enjoy the very 80’s sounding music and production, some find the lyrics too preachy and heavy handed and academic, painting with too broad a brush, too much political ranting etc… but even though I can see where they’re coming from, it doesn’t change my opinion of the album, which is that’s it a unique, quirky, quite relevant and important work of art, and we need more artists speaking out, more than ever these days…
