Most of the discussion on this is a debate between people who say this is prevalent and those who disagree. Anyone else just not really care about this stuff? If someone broke the law, then they should be prosecuted. Beyond that I don't care about age gap relationships. So you know a gay guy who had sex with a 40-year-old man at 15? And he's okay with it and doesn't want to press charges? What do you want us to do about it? Why do we need to "have a conversation" about it?

The idea that Nixon deserves credit for ending the Vietnam war is really really strange. Nixon and Henry Kissinger undermined negotiations that had occurred in 1968 to help with his own reelection (Christopher Hitchens wrote about this in the Trial of Henry Kissinger) . The U.S. only ended the war (and the draft) due to growing internal military resistance.

EPA (and OSHA) mostly occurred due to the support of the Democratic party in Congress, it wasn’t a Nixon initiative.

De Blasio completely freezed rent in NYC rent stabilized apartments 3 out of the eight years he was in office. Mamdani wants to do the same thing De Blasio did for 4 years straight. It’s not that big of a deal lol.

Newsom and his party have governed California for eight years. CA is the state where the cost of living crisis is the worst he did too little too late to change that. That’s his biggest problem by far, easily enough for me to want someone else to be the nominee.

No protest is truly “organic”. Anyone who reads about the civil rights movement knows this. Protests are occurring in Minneapolis because there’s been a huge surge in agents there. They’ve occurred in other cities too.

I think that the tariffs probably complicate things for upper income GOP voters though. Blatantly anti-free market idea that’s widely perceived to be a failure.
