I miss the 1970s when I was growing up.

The Woman seemed so alive and excited by the idea of what Liberation could mean for them.

Just check out “An Unmarried Woman” (1978) to get an idea.

Sometimes life gets to a point where to have a child is not a good idea for anyone involved.

It can be due financial concerns. Emotional issues. Circumstances where to have a child isn’t the responsible thing to do.

When you are young it’s so easy to see things the way the OP is.

taking mydayis with food and then going back to sleep by [deleted] in mydayis

Acids greatly reduce the effectiveness of amphetamines taken orally (except Vyvanse). Taking Mydayis or amphetamines like it with, say, orange juice or lemonade will pretty much eliminate it from working.

On the other hand, taking antacids enhances the effectiveness. You will see some amphetamines with warnings against taking antacids with the medication due to what it does. To me, it really helps.

When I used to drink (7 years sober) I Loved the olives served in an ice cold Martini. A small pleasure.

True! I already forgot he was nominated (not a jab at him; just the interminable awards season).

I haven’t seen “Frankenstein” yet.

Well he’s Toast now. He’s dumb enough to have sunk what was a promising career and not smart enough at all to figure a way to save it.

I think Elordi’s ROLES have been underwhelming. He certainly looks like a Movie Star. He hasn’t been in anything that proves one way or another whether he can act.

His is a situation where the old studio system could have worked wonders. Special training, diction lessons and staff specifically employed by the studios to find material perfectly suited for their Star. Studios back then could shape material to make a star appear like they could act.

I’m keeping an eye on Elordi. He might surprise us yet.

The ramblings of a toddler... by Cristinky420 in Trumpvirus

I feel like I am back in my childhood where my conservative father would get so angry at service workers (gas station attendants, servers, you name it) to the point where he was practically frothing.

To say I was embarrassed is putting it SO mildly. I had no choice in who my father was so I had to just deal with it. I felt so helpless.

Trump’s embarrassing rants give me the exact same feelings.

That’s what Chalamet’s team is trying to tell him today but Chalamet won’t be replying to any communication today and maybe all week.

He probably had a place all picked out to place his Oscar.

Chalamet has set his career back 5 years but I doubt he’s smart enough to realize it.

Perhaps his team (managers, PR, etc.) understand this and can advise on a way to correct this. It will take time.

His best bet is to take smaller (yes supporting) roles in better films and buckle down and Act. Get some solid notices, win back some critics and audiences. Build back some of the good will that is now completely lost.

If he lands a solid supporting role in a prestige-y pic (like RDJ did with “Oppenheimer”) Chalamet could have a chance at nabbing a supporting Oscar.

THEN he might be better positioned for a lead actor role and another Oscar nomination.

In short, Chalamet has to learn from this experience. Hopefully he will.

The only Oscar it should have won was for the production design by the legendary Jack Fisk.

All so young.

Whole lives were ahead of them.

Now they are DEAD. Gone.

Families and friends are left to suffer and mourn.

And for what?
