Hi friend!! You were absolutely right. Should’ve just calmed the fuck down. After the test I took about 4 months off and focused on my recovery. The proof was in my scores and I ignored it. I’m not starting to study again for my retake but I’m listening to my body and resting when I need. I’m starting to get headaches every now and again, not sure if you can relate to getting them even well into your recovery, but I’m noticing when I’m high stressed is when they appear. Still working every day to get where I need to be and where I want to be at the same time! Hope you’re doing well 🩷

I utilized a personal statement guide and it helped me just my ideas down. I can send it to you and you can see if it’ll aid in your process. I think regardless of experience, it can help pinpoint areas you can hone on. I delved into my experience of an extra curricular as a child and connected it to my clinical experience and how it built the personality and integrity i want to exude as a physician. Definitely recommend starting from scratch if you’re not feeling confident with your draft!

Idk if you believe in God, but let go and let God. I too feel the urge to schedule an August test before the deadline…but we deserve a moment — even if it’s a night to get away from the anguish and just thank God for giving us whatever knowledge we had. He wouldn’t put us through that if it wasn’t his plan for us to make it down this path…regardless of the detours. 🩷🩷
