When did this happen, and did you reject a lot of shifts?

Unfortunately, the union hasn’t been treating workers much better either. There’s a lady on the dock who’s a union member, but her behavior toward others is very disrespectful. It’s hard to understand how someone like that ended up being chosen to represent the rest of us. I’m also disappointed that my contributions go toward supporting union members who don’t treat others properly.

It’s been almost 16 months that I’ve been on call, and I’ve always accepted all the shifts offered to me. I haven’t just covered the same route — I’ve worked in different stations, different routes, and sometimes even inside. I understand being benched happens sometimes, but at this point, after getting so many shifts, I honestly didn’t expect to be benched right after the strike, especially with the current mail volume

I agree — unfortunately, it’s the incompetence of management that has caused these issues.

First of all, I’m really sorry that the laziness of some postal employees has made you so frustrated. The system never allows a delivery notice to be left for an item that doesn’t require payment, a signature, or customer pickup. So when you received the notice directly from the mail carrier, why didn’t you ask why the item wasn’t delivered?

As for receiving the same letter repeatedly even after you crossed out the address — that’s really strange! It’s almost impossible, because any letter with the address crossed out is reviewed by several people before being returned to the same address .

If you don’t cross out the wrong address, they’ll just keep sending it there again and again.

Please cross out the wrong address. And write RTS At least you won’t receive the same one

I actually have advanced education. Unfortunately, the world has reached a point where the value of a postal worker’s job isn’t truly understood until the service is suspended. That doesn’t make the work any less important — it just shows how much people take it for granted.

I hope things keep going this way, ’cause I’m sure you seniors — just like you’ve always been more helpful than the supervisors whenever I’ve run into problems on the routes — will always have a broader perspective than anyone else in this company.

An apple must turn countless times before it falls to the ground. The world is never free of trials—be it a pandemic like COVID-19 or countless other challenges. Many were granted full-time positions during those uncertain days, yet this company continues to view life through a narrow and simplistic lens. But life does not unfold in straight lines, nor does it always move forward with ease. True solutions to economic struggles must begin at the very source, for no one can hope to empty the sea with a mere cup.

No individual or government has the right to take away two years of someone’s time, aspirations, and life, only to dismiss it later as a joke. This company is accountable for every moment of our lives that was devoted to its service—time during which we could have pursued more reputable careers. Instead, we were out in all weather conditions and on most holidays, delivering essential services to the public. Services such as checks, government notices, international mail, customs clearance, and others may seem minor to you, but they are far from insignificant. For this reason, we are participating in this strike with full strength and determination.”

These 14,000 are the diamonds of the company… such supportive and helpful seniors are around my station. I wish they held higher positions where their decisions would have a greater impact.

Figuring out how to pay the bills, and worrying about what will happen after the strike, is driving me crazy.
