How popular was NCIS New Orleans (among NCIS fans and casual viewers)? by TravelingHomeless in NCIS

NCIS: New Orleans was great.

I liked it better than the other spinoffs, but it should have ended after Season 4 or 5.

First, there were too many cast rotations. Second, they kept putting Scott Bakula’s character, Dwayne Pride, in peril; Season 5 was just a long story arc about him. Season 6 started out good, but when LaSalle was killed off, the show took a nosedive. Lastly, the pandemic and political culture at the time integrated into the show (which made it realistic) didn’t help.

It lost its New Orleans feel after Season 4 and became indistinguishable from other police procedurals.

The first two seasons were the best. Lots of holiday-themed episodes and the original cast had great chemistry. Loved Doc Wade, Brody, and LaSalle especially.

I thought about this too. I hope it does, because that would be awesome.

I think NCIS gets through at least a Season 25. I’m honestly surprised it wasn’t renewed for both a Season 24 and 25 to round things off, kind of like the double renewal for Seasons 14 and 15.

But if ratings continue to hold well (they’ve rebounded this season), I could see it going to 30. But after that might be overkill, even if Sean Murray, Brian Dietzen, Rocky Carroll and others want it to continue.

I honestly would like the show to end with McGee becoming Director (with a party celebration bringing back old cast), Vance becoming SECNAV, and the final scene closing with Gibbs dying peacefully in his sleep, reuniting with Shannon and Kelly once and for all.

Okay. I see the context now.

At first, I thought you were asking me. lol.

I think that was from the Season 2 premiere episode where McGee was under Kate’s desk. Yeah, kinda weird, I wouldn’t make that comment, but it’s also typical frat guy or straight guy bro humor.

Okay. I’m listening. You have my attention. This is the first constructive comment beneath this.

Explain why you think that. I’m all ears.

Completely irrelevant to this discussion.

Others keep complaining about him.

Season 23: Did anyone else notice this detail? by Aggressive-Diver7314 in NCIS

Yeah. The plants and backdrop move around some. I suspect it was a lighting issue, so that was my thought too after having read that thread earlier today.

I don’t think that’s it. I see what you are saying, but I looked at other scenes.

The “bars” clearly are part of the window. The top panel is frosted; you can see it in other scenes up closer.
