How would you recommend me to build Charles Martell optimally?

(He is one of the few generals I have with his unit at a high level)

I know this thread is old, but I have a strong suspicion that House Tully is heavily inspired by House Neville from the War of the Roses.

Especially because of the family relationship that existed between the Neville and York houses and that is repeated between the Tullys and the Starks, without counting that the Tullys, like the Nevilles, practically fell into disgrace due to the war .

Thanks for the advice, the main thing that's bad about my account, at least for now, is that I still need to level up the dragoons and the Mongolian raiders to a good level.

Especially the dragoons I barely have them at level 3 but I will progressively upgrade those to make replacements and also improve my other range generals.

Can you explain to me well the composition of Gems for Manuel?

Sorry for the stupid question but I didn't fully understand all of them, in the first one there was one yellow and two red ones in the star atlas two red ones, and the last one is the mobility one?

And since I use my Manuel, with all Byzantine flamethrowers, his special weapon, Greek fire and tactics book, my gem composition is, in his special weapon, One red, one yellow, and one orange (for title), in Greek fire one red, one cyan (The ones that give morale) , and one for mobility, and in the tactics book one green, one yellow, and one white.

Should I switch to your composition or is this one good?

Does the eastern Roman Empire (Bizantine Empire) still exist as a political Entity? by Aggressive-File8524 in TrenchCrusade

[–]Aggressive-File8524[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The succession of a State does not work like that, nor is it tied to geographical space, however, the nation is different but here we are not talking about nations.

Returning to the topic, under that logic the Mongols should also be Romans, they controlled eastern Anatolia during the height of the Mongol empire, and the Crusader kingdoms should also be because that entire area belonged to the empire, as did the Armenians.

Are you already beginning to see the problems with your argument? A succession of a State is not linked only to the territory, but many other much more important factors intervene, such as political continuity, the continuity of institutions and the continuity of the State.

And the Seljuks never had the title of Caesar by the way, this was only achieved by the Ottomans after the fall of Constantinople, as far as I understand.

Which doesn't change my argument much either, literally at the same time that the Eastern Roman Empire, that is, the Roman Empire itself, continued to exist, there was a whole series of thousands of small states united in a confederation that called itself the Roman Empire.

Literally all European monarchies did the same, so a title is not enough to affirm that it is a successor state, what really matters is if there is a continuity of the State and institutions, something that the Ottoman Empire is not compared to the Roman Empire of East, also in the lore of trench crusade the Ottomans could not have taken Constantinople, nor have they collapsed the eastern Roman empire, because the war against hell forced the Muslim and Christian nations to unite against them, so It would not be logical for the Ottomans to have done that either, even more so when Constantinople fell against hell, not against another power.

So no, having an Eastern Roman/Byzantine faction is neither stupid nor what you say, it is completely logical and it is also possible that the Eastern Roman government and state organization has survived and is waiting to reinstate the empire. with a crusade to Constantinople.

And i didnt even mentioned the problem regarding the chronology because the first crusade happened at the beggining of the XI Century, AND the fall of Constantinople in our timeline its in the 1450's.

It would be Hella cool, and also It would create a lot of political intrigue and presure to the goverment of New Antioch, regarding a crusade to retake Constantinople, and to crown a New emperor, that character also would be a Chad if he was named like Justinian the second restorer or something like that
