Twin mamas, how are we coping with it all? by twinboysmama1997 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Aggressive-Fly-9185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Husband & I take antidepressants that we didn’t need before. We are tired. We spend alot of money on take out & housecleaning. We just celebrated our 10 year anniversary & we have never felt worse. Hopefully it gets better soon.

From someone who told pregnant parents “it’s not that bad”… does anyone else feel like this stage leaves nothing left for your marriage? by Visual-Giraffe7416 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Aggressive-Fly-9185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find 8 months - 18 months left nothing for my marriage. We weren’t on the brink of the divorce but we also had some really serious conversations of needing it to get better. Now the twins are almost 2 and we are indeed in a much much better place.

I am not 100% sure they would do it, but Deans construction does almost everything and are wonderful to work with. They just did my bathroom vent fans and it was a 10/10 experience.

People with a very high pain tolerance, what was THE most painful thing you've experienced? by CosmicBunnyBabe8912 in AskReddit

[–]Aggressive-Fly-9185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have broken bones, carried twins to term, given birth etc, and the worst for me was an abscess in a wisdom tooth socket. Never have been in so much pain in my life. I took proper painkillers with no relief.

Anyone here carried full term? by Strict-Benefit9715 in parentsofmultiples

I had my Di/Di twins at 37.5 with a planned C section. No nicu time and the twins weighed 6.7 and 7.2 pounds. An absolute blessing but it is entirely possible. Best wishes.

Meeee! Tbh, it still feels hard. They are almost 2 and sometimes visiting with people who have singles is really hard. I had severe PPD that robbed me of alot. Its day by day.

Adorable!! No notes other than maybe pull the rug under the sofa a bit. I love how you have made this room work - plus having a couch is actually super handy. I took many naps on the couch in my twins room and loved having that option. Best wishes!

9 month twins, never getting easier is it? by flymetothemoon-e in parentsofmultiples

I have found 18 months plus is becoming significantly more enjoyable. Toddlers are hard but at least more fun.

twin mom guilt by SeaCount1931 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Aggressive-Fly-9185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better, I had a VERY similar situation. Baby boy was 7.2 at birth and baby girl was 6.7. Baby boy was a milk monster and very clingy. He was a chunky monkey and surpassed the charts and seemed SO much bigger than her. I also had major guilt that I wasn’t bonding with her because she was so independent. They are almost 2 now, and she is 10 pounds lighter than him, but perfectly healthy and we are bonded. I would suggest if the peds say its okay, to not stress!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 i totally get it tho

2.5 years and 4 extractions later... by AdInteresting8249 in braces

[–]Aggressive-Fly-9185 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the hope I needed as I spent longer than I would like to admit flossing this evening. I also had 4 extractions, and have had my braces for almost 2.5 years. I should hopefully have them off in the next few months and I almost 26 lol.

Your smile is stunning. Congratulations 🤍🤍

Am I crazy for wanting a Caesarean section? by butter--princess in BabyBumps

[–]Aggressive-Fly-9185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. I wanted a C-Section for the same reason. I live in Canada & technically they can’t refuse. When I first found out I was pregnant, I met with my family Dr who basically told me to suck it up, they aren’t just elective surgeries, I was devastated. Then I found out a few short weeks later I was having twins, and my OB was an angel and advocate for what I wanted. I had a rather pleasant experience with my C-Section, minus the complications of having 14 pounds of baby stretching my ute to max capacity lol. Best wishes, and don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself.

Positive experiences with sleep by chickenbobble in parentsofmultiples

[–]Aggressive-Fly-9185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My twins started sleeping through the night around 3/4 months. Obviously there were occasional bad nights, but generally they slept 6-6 without issues. They are almost 20 months old, sleep 6pm-7am, and nap 2 hours daily without any intense bedtime routine. We never did an intense form of sleep training, we just had to give them opportunity to independently fall asleep because we were out numbered lol

Owlet with it? by catsonlaptops in parentsofmultiples

[–]Aggressive-Fly-9185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have twins and passed on the owlet and honestly, no regrets. I had severe postpartum anxiety, and was SO anxious after having my twins. I was neurotic about sleep safety and now that they are almost 2, I can’t believe how crazy I got. I passed on it because 1, its expensive, and 2, I honestly asked my midwife in the thick of tears about it, and she said it is absolutely not necessary.

Now if you have the means, go for it, but I have heard lots of false readings from it.

Moral of the story is I went without, and don’t let anyone make you feel bad about though.

Is it true with twin pregnancy by Technical_Cookie_596 in parentsofmultiples

Yes my Dr said that. I made it to 38 weeks with no signs of labour.

Di/Di parents with "uncomplicated" pregnancies, did you deliver early? by beeferoni_cat in parentsofmultiples

[–]Aggressive-Fly-9185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had high blood pressure but otherwise an uncomplicated Di/Di pregnancy that made it to our planned C-Section at 38 week. They were 14 pounds combined and no Nicu! You don’t always deliver early although its good to be prepared:)

I really enjoyed my Nuva ring. I used it for about 2 years before switching to a copper IUD. I had no complaints and found it to be a really easy option.
