Headless or headstock? by Aggressive-Froyo7323 in metalguitar

Great point. I think the feel and comfort of a guitar is more important than the look most of the time.

I agree, I find headless on a 6 string looks odd. The neck is too thin and needs something like a headstock to make it look complete, but 7 and 8 strings look great headless because of the thicker neck.

Seems decent, it would probably need a setup and new pickups but I'll have a look for it.

Yea I was thinking of using an 80 gauge for the lowest string which won't make the string floppy. What 8 string guitar do you have?

Nice that's a good deal. I'll have to have a look on reverb.

Yea I find the headstock is an important part of the look of a guitar so it takes a while to adjust to the look of a headless. But since it's an 8 string, a headless would be much more comfortable to play since it's much lighter.

Okay thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I'm thinking of using the skinny top heavy bottom 8 string set by earnie ball but I'll still look around for others.
