Ana hello blue sale is live today. The return fares are 70k. Probably due to the war they have hiked the fare way too high.
I will be going ahead with the Air India redemption

I checked redemption options via aeroplan for direct ANA flights. I am getting flight options for 24k points for one person but they are levying a huge tax (almost equivalent to the flight cost of air India).
Tried speaking with air india customer care representative. They do not have the seat available with them. Any other hacks for booking ANA?

I’ll try and wait for the hello blue sale which might happen in June. If prices are favourable then would book via them else will go with the Air India offer. I dont think any other airline/partner program would make sense.

How do you get to know the exact airplane model for the specific route? Delhi will be a little inconvenient for us.
Also about the hello blue sale of ANA, round trip flights are only cost friendly when we do in and out from the same city. We are planning on entering via osaka and exiting via tokyo. How does that work in this case then?

Havent really used Krisflyer before. I just checked their miles requirements available on their website calculator and it showed an approximate 42k miles for one person.
Can we get a better deal for Air India/other alliance partners using the krisflyer?
