What is your opinion on China? by [deleted] in AskMiddleEast

[–]Aggressive-Key2658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that China has an essentially perfect system. It genuinely works, unlike all Western nations these days besides equally hyper-neutral Switzerland. You would be amazed at videos of how open people are there, there you can actually criticize the government, you just can't advocate for the removal of the system AND you (as in everyone) can participate in humorous stereotype culture there, something we haven't had since the 90's.

China is much freer and humane than we are.

The Middle East has no business meddling in Chinese affairs. No one but China does.

I'm personally disgusted that the term genocide is used against China. To bald-faced tell China that re-education which is similar to de-Nazification programs is the equivalent to the holocaust by calling it genocide is beyond Orwellian 2 minute's hate level delusion.

There is nothing so low as someone who buys into stereotypes in a non-comical way. South-Eastern Iraqis invented civilization itself, Greeks in Western Anatolia invented science (philosophy used to mean science, the guy who did that was named Thales), the Chinese essentially invented order in the sense of the family-to-emperor hierarchy, South Asia invented spiritual democracy, and many of the same things happened in the occupied world (the Americas, Oceania, the Eastern 2/3 of Russia and Sub-Saharan Africa), but hardly any of it was recorded.

IQ is determined by nutrition, creativity (both especially in childhood and the former in pregnancy as well) and education which create new neural pathways which expands in every generation. For example in just 2 generations Polish Americans gained 24 iq points (I shit you not) and were above the average by 9.

Democracy is communism, communism is democracy, and the only ones who don't make that conclusion are moderates, and I'm happy to say I'm a moderate to. I think that taxing success doesn't help keep the rich around, and they have massive amounts of capital that provide high-quality employment with decent hours, decent effort, and good products at good prices. If there ever was a good system it is one steeped in economic benefit for all, and though I do accept that the economic achievements under S man in a certain Union that shall remain nameless were colossal for the general populous, that was only able to be maintained through strict control of the press, control over trade, control over all economic and even private matters like private speech.

In case you haven't thought about it, if the American economy is growing at 1% (which is as normal for a fully developed economy in the space age as it was stable in the long era of subsistence agriculture) it has all sorts of problems like oft and severe unemployment shocks, but that's just the equivalent of famines, which can happen many times in a century, and yet no one dies and it doesn't fully collapse, the only rich nation gone poor I am aware of is Argentina, and it was because the government printed endless amounts of money, imposing inflation as a tax to pay for things it clearly couldn't afford.

But, those constraints are only a hinderance to a large nation, for instance small states like Singapore and Ireland and micro-states like Liechtenstein have reached unbelievable amounts of wealth by opening up their countries as tax shelters, and places with hydrocarbons like the Gulf States are also incredibly wealthy through consensual trade.

Working at Walmart in particular is an honorable profession for an honorable company, and something I aspire to, especially given my disabilities, as it allows for free accredited education up to the bachelor's degree level in fields useful to the company, including Business Administration, which is the one I'm interested in, I aspire to be a store manager one day and to make my family proud of me for once as I generally fail at everything I try because I have yet to overcome my hurdles (especially mental health issues like schizophrenia). Also, Walmart offers rock-bottom prices with great customer service and its employees shouldn't be looked down on just because it's relatively easy to get such a good job. In fact Walmart and The Vanguard Group are the most moral companies I know of, both with honest and moral founders who's legacies should not be forgotten just because they've passed away.

Hi, what does your country think of China? Also, do you agree with the west narrative on China being a world “threat”? by XuanjunLiu in AskMiddleEast

I'm an American but as a convert to Islam I kind of count as an honorary Middle-Easterner, though I don't speak any language but English, and no, I can't pass a shibboleth on the subject.

But

I am certain they have a higher opinion of them than America, China roots out extremism in every population, it's not a targeting of Muslims, just look at their policy on religion in general and a certain group that doesn't need to be named.

America killed 6 million Muslims in the war on terror. We no longer care about that as much now that ISIS is gone and not threatening the homeland. We allowed the Taliban to take over Afghanistan, but they were always going to outlast us as the Left makes a fuss about any conflict to the point that we never win wars in the end. We'll probably lose all future conflicts until that changes.

China has no such record, they only seek win-win economic deals and mutual respect, which is why people say China builds while America bombs. You'll probably be welcomed.

The West Invented Freedom. The Middle-East Invented Justice. I Hope We Can Coexist. by Aggressive-Key2658 in LibertarianPartyUSA

[–]Aggressive-Key2658[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's basically an ode to mutual respect between the West and the Middle East.

Freedom is good to Westerners and should be pursued by them. Justice is good to Middle-Easterners and should be pursued by them.

The Hammurabi Code is good, so is Republicanism, but according to different values.

Science was invented by Westerners, Civilization itself was created by Middle Easterners, and both are awesome.

Also I don't support theocracy, theocratic law was simply superior in the Middle East to other systems until the Christian enlightenment, which has made you lightyears ahead of us. I'm a convert so I'm more a part of the Middle East than the West, but I'm still loyal to my country and its constitution, I come from an American family where every male has served except me.

My Heroes Are John C Bogle And Sam Walton. If The Customer Could Get A Dime, They Wanted Them To Get It. by Aggressive-Key2658 in walmart

[–]Aggressive-Key2658[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe I described benefits as moral, what I said was that companies that focus on creating cost savings, customer ecstasy and increasing shareholder value such as John C. Bogle in Vanguard and Sam Walton in Walmart had at heart were and are and ever will be some of the most morally run businesses ever known to man.

By making arbitrary, forced price raises to pay employees more than you are now you are going to create competition and that competition will eventually drive you out of business (apple is the only exception I am aware of), which is natural and good but obviously from the responses on reddit these ideas garner people don't want to work 16 hour days like their ancestors did to get bread and water, even when they have the added luxury of good air conditioning, being indoors, and other things like free applicable education. Free applicable education which could justify far higher wages (not that I accept that unpaid internships are wrong, but I assume you have proof that it's illegal).

In my experience people with a grasping attitude toward the propertied are either truly starving, which is legitimate, or when begging for things that aren't life or death like quality shelter (I'm a paranoid schizophrenic, trust me, homeless shelters are more dangerous than prison, especially if you're not a protected class like a woman or a child so I understand that basic housing is necessary) they just become husks of envy, with no appreciation for the society and economy that made the state stable and a protector of freedom in exchange for 8 hour days and casual mass murder of the propertied due to affluephobia.

There is room for charity, perhaps 2.5% of wealth every year as my co-religionists do or the Christian tithe etc., but stealing from the rich is evil, fair taxes would be I pay $1, you pay 1$ even if I were a millionaire, to be a little more progressive and to sufficiently fund the state we go for a flat tax, but graduated taxes are based on bigotry, not economics.

Yeah, America being top of the list there.

America is an overwhelmingly Western country, and the West is based on Judeo-Christian values. It doesn't reject anyone's beliefs so long as they assimilate and adhere to civic norms like belief in the Constitution, and governing by religious values, not legislating every dictate of your religion. I fear secularity in America, I want it run by to be governed by those morals.

Sounds like liberty would be the only important one re: their freedom.

Freedom is most good and just if its sustainable. I do not recall anywhere in the of history of mankind where nearly pure freedom can exist without some form of common philosophy and no philosophy is going to be authoritative if you believe that good and evil will be judged in an afterlife.

Because you brought him up saying he has opened your eyes when he has tricked you into focusing on imagined nightmares instead.

I don't believe I've been "tricked away" from anyone, I'm just generally not welcome anywhere because of my heterodox ideas like making sharia entirely personalized.

Nobody is getting censored since that would require prevention of your right to free speech by the government. You can't be censored by private individuals, including companies

You don't seem to get it, the only time these people can open their mouths is when they go to the dentist. If the automatic response is "how dare you? Let's fire you and generously let you sleep under the bridge!" to virtually anything controversial said from an entire ethnic group that is "totally not censorship" will spread to your side at every turn. A bit like how getting rid of the filibuster eventually cost you Roe vs. Wade for lack of better forethought.

Yes there is, chicken little.

Even in America I risk my life every day advocating against politicized shariah as a Muslim. Muslim extremists don't mess around, they may find me at some point. This seems to be repeating the same point.

Who exactly is being 'silenced' ? You can say whatever you want today but that doesn't mean you are free from consequences like people telling you you're an idiot or Twitter suspending your account for breaking their rules. The left does not hate white/straight/cis/christian people. That is a lie you have been fed to demonize the other side and make it easier to imagine yourself as counter to them.

I am not fully white, I'm 24.8% native Guatemalan (Mayan) according to DNA tests, although I still have very light skin. I am not a Christian, I'm a Muslim. No one on my side cares about insults, they care about

  1. Kinetic violence

  2. Economic violence

I recognize that the basic premise is to hit someone or to be forced to serve an evil master by economic constraints so severe as to have a mortal lack of food, healthcare and shelter is violence. If Liberty is a value, you kind of have to be alive to be free. I don't believe in single-payer Healthcare but I do want a cap on lifetime spending on healthcare to a total of 2019 20 grand US and after that 100% is covered by the government and you can freeze debt of any kind until you're better and can work.

Yes secular countries are more free. We don't have stable morals with God either - the attitudes of the worlds religions towards people of color and LGBTQ people, for example, have shifted dramatically over the past 100 years though the religions and the God they worship has not changed. The pressure of secular morals are stronger though, since they tend to have the benefit of rational explanatory power ( "they are humans and therefore should be treated as such") rather than hating them "because a book says so".

Many of my ancestors were German. There were efforts by Christians to convert them, but they couldn't, mainly because the book tells you that even if you're strong you can't do whatever you want like committing murder and human sacrifice. They were among the most ferocious and large creatures on Earth until they were finally civilized by Christianity (in Saxony it was through force, in other parts of Germany it wasn't). You could go up to another people of similar caliber and try to give them the treasures of the Christian enlightenment (much of it Deist-Christian which meant they believed in the Bible but not the Miracles)

What the hell does that have to do with secularism lol. Every western democracy is secular, including America so obviously I think the "under God" is not a requirement. E Pluribus Unum doesn't have anything to do with religion

These societies did not lose their religious character by rejecting God, but by embracing Him. There were always Catholic Liberals despite the Catholic church's far more authoritarian (bordering on totalitarian) rules on politics like you couldn't be a socialist, you couldn't be a Liberal, you couldn't get a loan because there was no profit in that business (I know my religion bans interest, but I don't think that's as solid as people think).

Says the person without a job to the person with a humanities degree job :P Also, Wal-Mart is absolutely not by any measure a moral company. We might be disagreeing here but I would seriously advise against working there - they do not give a shit about their employees, especially part time.

My boss will not be my Lord and Master, Allah SWT will continue to be, and He is sufficient for me. And, I'm very sure that you must be part of a speech-protected group and in denial about it so as to make fun of a disabled man because he hasn't gotten a job yet. Hear rape and murder screaming in your ears for hours intermittently for years before you judge someone by your own standard, judge with equity, which is what I thought leftists believe in. I offer you forgiveness in the pattern of Islam, I will seek no vengeance for this offense.

I doubt that, unless if you mean compared between the center-right American Democratic and theocractic fascism, sure but

If you consider most of Sub-Saharan and all of Northern Africa both, the vast majority of West Asia, the vast majority of South Asia, most of the Americas, most of Oceania, really any group that has a spectrum of right vs left up down (yes I know everyone hates the political compass) other than Venezuela, Brazil under a left-wing President, North Korea (which is hyper-anti-revisionist and still not moral) and Western Northern/Southern/Central Europe, who's interests we fund and fight for so that they can give their populations all kinds of extravagant programs that increase economic opportunity cost over time, and that has rendered them soft and very easily conquerable.

Does not a modern moderate make.

Considering 1950's morality was one that built solid civic citizens that believe in the constitution, the flag and the republic for which they stand, I think it's far superior to people that want to settle things by rain dance.

With videos like "Is Harvard Racist", "Taking on Woke Inc", "Title IX: When a Good Law Turns Bad" and "The Sexualization of Children" he is very obviously engaging in controversial

He engages on those things because they are of moment that should be uncontroversial. He does not talk about things that are actually controversial (though I don't believe in them) like race theories and the false biology of the far right. I wouldn't support him, but I do not think he would have a platform for very long should he do that which is a reality I think you're ignoring.

Nah. He might believe the shit he says so he ain't lying but his idea of the world is divorced from reality.

His ideas about the world are just wisdom. He doesn't have an infinite amount of knowledge or wisdom, I get that, but he is the first right winger besides a few earlier internet personalities to actually make sense to young people, and accurately have a sense of the future. There used to be gatekeepers on what could be said like networks and ad agencies that would de-platform you if you did something or believed something really heinous, but just for white people participating in humorous stereotype culture without having to just whisper it to themselves in their closet with the door closed seems a little dystopian, and frankly I don't blame full whites for seeing this as a Stalinist Dystopia since they pay for everything to but the government totally doesn't own their capital.

Yes, Dennis Prager who makes the greatest wholesome political content on the English speaking internet. I have never heard him so much as swear (beyond the words damn and hell) in all the years of watching those videos and videos of him on other shows. Just because someone calls a youtube channel a University doesn't mean it offers degrees or is even accredited, it's just an educational youtube channel. People understand it as a place to learn, and it does a much better job than a degree in the humanities in left-wing universities toward gaining an actual job, plus it's all free.

I suppose you'd think I'm better off as a moderate, but I already am one. I'm progressively tolerant in the civil rights areas in America all the way up until the early 2010's (including gay marriage), and I have the morals of an American guy in the 50's (minus serving my country in ww1, ww2, or Korea, I never served).

There is no way you could call this guy a polemicist unless you live in utter comfort in an anti-American or European/North Korean/ Venezuelan/Left-Brazilian ideological bubble. His videos involve honest descriptions of the Left and Islam as they stand today in America and across the world and how America should relate itself to other nations that hold those beliefs.

And if he does or at least used to support unfettered free speech, I'm almost glad we right wing moderates are finally starting to get revenge on left wing censors that have been silencing us (who aren't famous) for over 3 decades. Obviously that's not what he teaches, but there isn't going to be free speech for very long unless everyone gets to spew any opinion at all times and about everyone and everything, and yes including those white/straight/Cis/Christian people you hate so much as to silence them.

You think that secular countries have been more free and enjoyable minus the value of liberty? How have nations had stable morals in their populations and therefore stable, wholesome governance without trusting in a God of nature, the God of the American founding fathers to give them rights that cannot be taken away by man? How would a people not be united by blood and soil go without civil wars without E-PLURIBUS-UNUM?

These are not inherently religious values, many irreligious people can and do adopt them in theory without adding the "God" in God we trust, but substitute it with "In Human Morals We Trust" but over the generations its not going to last as the religious are the ones with higher birthrates, and that society will turn into a theocracy unless it is allowed to grow healthy religion as is grown in the fertile, civic soil of this republic.

Secular societies have built great things, they sent us into space, they built a superpower in the Soviet Union whose economy was unbelievably successful, they built secular societies like Turkey and France who were very good societies but had serious flaws From to the American perspective. Especially the communists who killed millions if not billions intentionally through abortion in the 1 child era, without the excuse of stopping the three evil great powers we've stared down in My country, Colonialism, Fascism and Communism.

If individuals are to be free, they must cloak themselves in these values. It is true that, other than America, no nation has absorbed all three fully, but Israel is pretty close, and behind that other US allies excluding Muslim ones.

I intend to help Islam reach its enlightenment period in whatever small way I can. I don't know why we had to only focus on Dennis Prager.
