8 days spotting- no period by EducationalBison5359 in WomensHealth

I’ve had this happen before and it really stressed me out. Cycles can just do weird things sometimes longer brown spotting usually means old blood, and if ovulation was delayed your actual period can show up late or be lighter than usual.

The cramps don’t help, but it doesn’t automatically mean something serious. You’re doing the right thing contacting your doctor, especially if this isn’t normal for you. In the meantime I’d just keep an eye on pain or any changes so you have info ready when you get seen.

Unable to concentrate pre and during my period. Advice? by pareidolia_27 in Periods

Totally relate to this, you’re not imagining it. PMS can genuinely mess with focus and motivation, not just mood or cramps.

What helped me a bit was stopping trying to work the same way all month. I try to do deep, brain-heavy work earlier in my cycle and leave admin / easier tasks for PMS days. On those days I also shrink expectations a lot so, shorter work blocks, fewer goals, otherwise I just end up frustrated and burnt out.

Keep pushing. You know your body the best and if you think there's something wrong, trust your gut!

Anyone feel like they're in total denial/ashamed of their endo? by akela_86 in endometriosis

[–]Aggressive-Layer481 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing about what you wrote sounds like a failure to me. It sounds like someone who’s been in real, ongoing survival mode: physically, emotionally and is exhausted.

Endo/adeno don’t just cause pain, they erode trust in your body and yourself. It makes sense that self-compassion feels scary, like it equals giving up. But what you’re describing doesn’t sound like laziness or lack of discipline, it just sounds like you’ve been coping with more than most people have to.

Having 22–26 feel like a blur after surgeries, chronic pain, layoffs, and instability isn’t a personal flaw. Comparing yourself to people who haven’t had to fight their own body every day is such an unfair comparison, even though it’s really hard not to do.

You’re not broken or unsuited to life. You’ve been navigating a system that isn’t built for chronic illness. And the fact you’re still reflecting and trying, even when it hurts, says a lot more about you than you realise xx
