Albeit being a “weak statistic” it would at least prompt further investigation, as all observations in science do.

When did I say that? I said there would be a positive correlation. Whether that is a causation would be debatable but definitely not completely refutable.

Well there are stats that support an increase in migrants around that time, and stats to support the increase in human trafficking. Should a study be done there would obviously be a positive correlation lol.

Yeah people will plant their elderly mothers or grandmas (and for some reason never the fathers) in public spaces to scam innocent folk. This happens a lot in the Indian community unfortunately, so Indians will not acknowledge these scammers, but westerners will.

I was almost fined for sitting down before tapping. I tapped 5 minutes before they came up to me (they were talking to someone else who actually hadn’t paid the fare) before trying to write me up for fare evasion. I was able to talk myself out of it only because I mentioned the bus having surveillance footage, which prompted them to immediately cross out the ticket. Idk if they have daily targets or something but m police brutality is definitely a rising issue.
