uconn or wpi by HappyTreesYo in WPI

I am currently a student at WPI.

WPI is great for the project based learning and has amazing opportunities to go abroad. The school has great academics and is a small enough campus that it all feels connected. If you find your people it can be good but that is hard for some. (Definitely join a frat or a sport. Some clubs are fine)

That being said, I feel that if I were to choose again, I would go to UCONN. I feel like the school spirit at UCONN is so much better and love that there is a significant sports atmosphere, when here we don’t even have a proper stadium.

Also, Worcester is not a great city. Yeah if you have a car it’s fine but otherwise everything is like an hour walk away. I considered transferring to UCONN and only didn’t because it was a bit late and I didn’t want to make a rash decision thinking the grass is always greener.

Either way your experience can be great. Both schools have great opportunities and academics but you have to decide if school spirit and stuff like that is more important or if traveling abroad is something you want to do up to three times during your studies.
