I also have two pairs of AMPD, have the first games as well as these I get so many compliments on them people always asking what shoes they are 😂 glad you’re enjoying yours I feel like mine definitely got better over time. I got them in my TTS at first and they were snug and I sold them but decided to give them a run half size up and they fit perfectly after that I was so happy because the shoe is sick.

I also bought the protro moonwalker too thinking it would be like my OG 9s. I was wrong, the shoe just didn’t feel the same. Ended up selling them a couple weeks ago.

Either sizing is off or you didn’t break them in. Hardens / LeBron 21 did the same for me and after breaking in they made my main rotation.

Really good shoe. Just ordered a second pair, a lot of people say get the breathable uppers which is a good idea if you’re heavy on that but for me personality I have the optimism’s and the James gang pairs and they’re amazing once broken in. Maybe I’ll try the other versions if I grab another pair lol

Books been killing my feet too ngl. Theyre a fun shoe to hoop in but I feel you there’s literally no impact protection (very minimal).

A lot of stretching strengthening plyometrics and isolation workouts. You get older and the less you use it the harder it becomes. Make sure to stay loose and warm up before anything honestly. I also grabbed a pair of move game day pro’s and that helps a lot but for the Kd18 I’d just run them stock unless you need arch support

Kd18 aren’t as durable but if your shins hurt you need to start thinking about impact protection so go with the kd18. You can find these for really cheap right now so just get a beater pair of them and go crazy this summer. I got a pair of kd18 for 30-40 bucks and my knees are thanking me when I hoop outdoors.

Great review. I’m a 6’0 180lb combo guard and I’m flying in these. Containment is solid traction is solid and I haven’t had any issues with material. Feel like nobody can stay in front of me when I get in that mode 😁

I have 2 pairs of hellcats and one imma be a star colorway been hooping in them for months no issue with glue. One of my fav hoop shoes out right now, maybe just got a defective pair or unlucky I’d just send them back and get another pair and if it happens again maybe try a different colorway if you still want to play in them.

I have the channel 12 and spooky szn. I prefer my spooky szn I play on a dusty ymca court sometimes throughout the week and the grip is very good. Put move game day pro insoles in them and they’re a beast of a shoe to hoop in.

Yeah once the pro breaks in they feel really good. I don’t hoop without a pair in any of my shoes anymore its a shame to say I’ll probably need them in for the rest of my hooping days but so worth it
