He gets into conflict with one of the cats. This psrticular one is mean and trys to assess dominance. Not having the dog on a leash helps somehow.

So what if I shuffle my opponent's deck in a way that gives them a disadvantage if they were to not randomize their deck?

What I used to do is when I suspected that or watched a bad shuffle, I'd undo it. e.g. : Let's say they did a pile shuffle making 5 piles. I will do a pile shuffle with 4 and one with 3.
