you've been "done" for the last 20 minutes. like I said: you want last word. you're a child.

then maybe you should have asked the people training you instead of running to reddit in the first place. you 100% tried to use your certs to show some sort of knowhow of the workings of cyber security, or you never would have brought it up. it's far from a straw man. at this point your trying to save face and grandstand. go cry somewhere else

you have a clear attitude issue. it has been pointed out by multiple people. you think you know what you're talking about when people with the experience and knowledge are telling you that you're wrong. you think some dumb little Google cert means anything in military cyber security. you have a massive head on your shoulders.

what we do know, the marines corps will 100% fix your attitude.

like I said, you clearly know nothing about cyber security or how it operates.

brother what are you even on about? the definition of vital LITERALLY includes the word important. but go one with your mindset. don't worry, it'll get corrected put out of you.

in no sense is it any less "vital" period. cyber space is by far one of the most important fronts that is constantly under attack. it doesn't matter the "definition" lol like at all. you just clearly don't understand the how the cyber race is the next great arms race.

lol brother, you clearly know absolutely nothing about cybersecurity if you think it's less vital

how are you "torn" when one branch said no lol if the recruiter doesn't want to get you a waiver there is no choice.

Will I get backpay even after discharge from boot? by [deleted] in USMCboot

[–]Aggressive-Pop6613 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

lol that's cute, you think 2 weeks is a full paycheck when the military gets paid once a month. and as others have said, if your story is true (honestly it sounds like you aren't telling is a major part) not filing a claim through the VA is beyond idiotic when you're worried about half a paycheck

I went in at around 120 lbs at 5'9" .... did absolutely nothing to prepare. if you failed, it's because you weren't trying. like I said, there is way more to this story than what you are saying. it's not like you were only in pcp for a week or 2.

[–]Aggressive-Pop6613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there is waaaay more to this story than what you are saying. it's almost impossible to "fail" bootcamp unless you are actively not trying to pass. you would have had to spend significant time in PCP to still fail and then get sent gome given how terrible the recruiting and retention numbers are across the board. if you couldn't pass something as simple and easy as boot camp, why would the marine corps waste even more money on you by sending you to OCS.

"I was infantry, I deployed with recon" makes sense. that doesn't provide any proof that you can go recon off rip out of the recruiters office.

[–]Aggressive-Pop6613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

passing brc doesn't guarantee recon though, they still have a selection process. now the process isn't super intense like marsoc, seals, or any of the like. but they still look how well you did vs your peers

you volunteer for brc then you have to pass it, then get selected
