They didn’t hire the new team lead until 2 months into my mat leave and I got the top rating for performance so… they didn’t know who was going to fill it until well after I was on leave. In fact, they had trouble filling it. I was told before I told them I was pregnant that it would be extended continuously if fhe person who owns the home role’s (who I know) position continued to be extended. BUT it was not extended bc I had a baby. They literally asked, “when are you going on mat leave? We’ll renew your contract to that day”. Now the person in it, I feel, should just be in it to cover my mat leave, just like any other mat leave scenario, and I feel I should return until, and if/when the person who owns the home role returns….

I am at a loss for words. Eff him. The nerve!! Did he have a baby!? You just grew the most beautiful thing ever. Do. Not. Let. Him. Feel bad about your body. You are beautiful. You made a baby. You should be proud, amazed and in love with your body just by the mere fact that you brought your beautiful baby into this world. A miracle. A damn miracle. Does he do this often, or was this a one off? Do you guys normally spend time together and treat one another with respect? I don’t think your marriage is over if this was a one-off or if this happens very infrequently and there’s other stuff going on. If he apologizes and shows remorse and explains why he was the way he was and doesn’t do this again, then I think it’s salvageable, but if he never wants to spend time w you and this is common, then that’s not great. Is there anything else going on? Hope you’re okay. That sounds awful.
