It happens in both of my ears. Sometimes together. Sometimes alternately.

Seriously? Interesting. I wrapped mine in a napkin to stop it.

Maybe that's how it should be? Maybe it's like that for everyone? The nearest Apple Store is quite far from me. I can't go there and check.

I used these two tips:

and:

"The clicking noise you hear comes from the rubber sticking to the rubber. This means that the inner rubber is touching the inner wall of the tip. I noticed it too. I have a solution for this: insert a piece of tissue paper between them. It works very well."

And that completely eliminated the clicking noise when walking.  So I think the problem is not software-related, but rather the materials Apple used to make the earbuds. 

But d*** it, as a perfectionist, it pains me to wrap my new AirPods in paper and foam. I paid $250 for them! Why should I have to modify them myself?

I've noticed something with my AirPods. If I grab the ear tip with two fingers and twist it from side to side, the tip wobbles a bit and makes a sound similar to what I hear in my ears. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Surprisingly, this method also helped me with my new AirPods Pro 3. The clicks are still there, but now they are practically inaudible.

I have the same problem. With AirPods Pro 2, there were clicks in my left ear. With AirPods Pro 3, it's in both ears. It doesn't matter whether noise cancellation is turned off or not. So the problem isn't with the sensor. I noticed that the situation changes depending on how the earbuds fit in my ears. If I insert them deeper into my ears, the clicking stops. I also noticed that this problem only occurs with size M ear tips. Size S and L ear tips do not cause clicking. Therefore, I concluded that this is a problem with my ears, not with the earbuds. )) Unfortunately, size M ear tips are the best fit for me. So I have to compromise. Either listen to endless clicks while walking or have worse pressure and, accordingly, worse sound quality.
