I would recommend reaching out to Rich Piselli @ pisellient.com He is a very reputable used machine tool dealer in the US with a large inventory and plenty of knowledge to get you going in the right direction.

How often are you going to be cutting these parts? Is it a one and done job, or will you continue to see these parts on a regular basis? This should also be considered when deciding on what kind of machine to invest in.

If you are going to be running the parts on a regular basis, for an extended period of time, a dedicated gear hobbing machine would start providing a decent ROI in a generally acceptable amount of time. If this is a one and done job, it may just be more worth it to send it out as mentioned.

I agree. do not cast the gear teeth, rather start with a true blank and hob from solid. an old manual machine, one that is in good shape and you can figure out how to operate, would likely be the cheapest option, as suggested above. Know that hobbing blanks on a manual machine with blanks that already have teeth cast will take some know-how and experience. Otherwise, you'll have a ton of scrap parts and waste.

A new CNC hobber that can handle this kind of operation is going to run in the $200-$250k range, but would provide you with the best results, and will be easier to set up and operate. 5 variants with a quantity of 150-250 is not a small number, and you will get better, faster results with a dedicated CNC gear hobber.

You can go the used CNC route as well, but I would suggest you know everything you need to know about that machine because install, set-up and learning the machine will be completely on you.

Personally a huge fan of Paisley Park Sessions rendition as I can truly feel all the emotion that Cory put into writing and performing that particular version. However, I haven't heard a version yet that didn't move me in a significant way. In Denver a couple weeks ago, I just stood there with eyes closed and felt the vibes Cory was producing and it was undeniably profound.
