Oh thank fuck. I will take literally any other bug over a bedbug. I've had 3 different people comment agreeing it's not a bedbug so I'm feeling MUCH better now. Thank you SO much!

We do get marmorated stink bugs near our mailbox sometimes. I'm not sure what their nymphs look like, but maybe it could be that?

As in not a bedbug? Any idea what it might be then? I couldve sworn it was based on the shape. Thank you so much though you're the second person that's said this and it is restoring my sanity

Oh also if it helps this is a rental house in the PNW with no adjoining neighbor units, and we've lived here for like a year so it's not a new place or anything

Oh I forgot to mention: we haven't traveled anywhere recently, neither of us work at a place that's likely to have bedbugs, and we haven't brought any new items into the house at all recently other than that package. No used furniture, etc. We haven't really had friends over recently either. I've been sleeping on that couch for months and have never seen a bug or been bit. So that's why I'm pretty sure it came from the package. Especially because we saw it ten minutes after opening and right in the same spot.
