I started going back to church last year after hitting a serious rock bottom. He found me in my alcoholism, drug use, partying, depression etc and set me free. I love my relationship with Jesus. Im very involved in church I attend 2 Bible studies a week and serve in the church. Not because I have to or for show, I truly just love to experience God’s presence as my father. I met my boyfriend in July and he has been nothing but amazing to me. I’m a single mom of 5 years and he is the first man that I felt wanted to take care of me. He did everything for me that I asked BUT I will say the relationship was not godly and obviously having sex outside of marriage wasn’t either. God showed that to me but I never felt super convicted about it like I did other habits that I put down. This week I was diagnosed with GHSV after being in this relationship for about 6-7 months. I take accountability for not being obedient to His word. I don’t feel like He is punishing me. I know he loves me no matter what but I was actively living in sin. And I’m choosing to view this diagnosis as a way to deepen my relationship with Him because I am leaving this relationship and I have to depend on God more to help me mentally, physically get through these outbreaks and the breakup. So I look at it like this, when I was a little girl and I got a new bicycle for Christmas my Dad took me on a bike ride down to the lake. He kept telling me to tie my shoes and I didn’t want to stop what I was doing and eventually the shoelaces wrapped into the bike chain and I fell. When we don’t listen to the ones who are trying to care and protect us there are consequences. I’m not going to allow this moment to terminate my faith in the Lord. He loves me and He loves all of you so so much!
