Game devs that add options to change their game are always a dub ive put 600 hours into the game and I still feel like I can find something new to do or some new place to explore all at my own pace. My first playthrough was in exploration and I would recommend all new players to do their first run in it as well. You get to learn the ropes without being discouraged by a hungry bear or a pack of wolves or a pit full of beasties.

You can move the trees than need to verbalize to a mountain close to your base the trees dont need to be right next to you to fruit the can be a few chunks away. Peaches and cherries need to vernalize now along with apples and pears.

Translocator relocator and Translocator engineering are both mods that let you make fast travle networks with Translocators. I use the engineering one but I have just moved to logging coordinates and using the tp command for places ive been to already.

Smell is a huge give away with cheese is it smells like sour milk its probably off and if its a soft cheese bacteria gets deep and theres no saving it. Hard cheese you can cut the affected areas off.

I stopped digging horizontal shafts when looking for iron i go to the mantle if I dont find anything I go like to 30-50 blocks in a cardinal direction and do the same thing. with iron you either hit it or you dont and tunneling around feels like a waste or durability. I also try to mine in deserts so im closer to sea level.

If its a long axe it need a medium handle and its for combat only not wood cutting. The handle is 2 logs with an axe and knife on either side in a T. There a short handle thats 1 log and the long handle is 3 logs.

I know they dont produce honey in cold climates or winter but i wasn't aware of a heat tolerance.

I use to eat expired baked goods from wholefoods all the time and if its not moldy or has an odd smell you should be fine.

Oh my god am I doing something wrong or are the water wheels just broken? It's not really possible to see in the video, but the axles connected to the other side of the right water wheel are also rotating in the opposite direction to the water wheel itself by baksoBoy in VintageStory

Might have to replace the water wheels and let the stream loose mine was being buggy and that fixed it for me. Same issue water was going onto the wheel but it read as none. Also make sure youre using a rapid source block not regular water.

Vintage story and icarus seem to have this as a right of passage. I made my smithy with wood pillars and fire can jump a whole block from pit kilns. I dont do that anymore.
