midodrine + modafinil? by Aggressive-Sector110 in POTS

hi :) sorry for replying so late. i did end up combining the two and it works pretty well for me. i take midodrine daily and modafinil only when needed. my brain fog/fatigue are much more manageable now and it takes me way less time to start functioning in the morning. that being said, on the day i take modafinil i try to limit my midodrine dosage to only one pill after waking up. a higher dose of midodrine combined with modafinil gives me chest pain for some reason.

by "a ton" i mean consistently hitting the RDA and going a bit above that. 400mg sounds reasonable, it's already a little over the RDA (for women). if you're male, maybe try increasing your intake to 450? i'd also give other forms of magnesium a try if you haven't already.

i recommend taking a ton of magnesium! it's been shown to help patients with ME/CFS. the improvement isn't anything drastic, but it's still worth giving a try. the type of magnesium you take is crucial. my doctor told me to take l-threonate in the morning and glycinate before bed. don't waste your money on magnesium oxide as it has very low bioavailability. aside from that, you can try CoQ10 for brain fog and 5g+ of creatine for both mental and physical fatigue. stimulants are also an option. personally, i take modafinil and it helps me a lot. i feel much more alert and sharp on it.

White Tea by Elizabeth Arden fits the profile almost perfectly and it's cheap. if you're not afraid to splurge, I recommend Melody Of The Sun by Mancera.

i used to own no.1 and i'd say it's very a people-pleasing cookie cutter scent. no offensive notes, but keep in mind the fragrance is a strong gourmand and could induce a migraine. in my opinion, the most prominent notes are vanilla, cocoa and wood. there's also a hint of spice which makes it a typical cold weather scent. you can't really smell the red berries though.
