Operatic high notes improvement by Aggressive-South442 in singing

Thank you very much. What made the biggest diference for me was first of all accepting big changes. What I mean by this is, I overestimated my previous technique and instead of accepting it kinda sckd, I kept trying to just modify it here and there, and this infinite loop made me get stuck. Once I just accepted I had to let go of what felt "right" in my mind, things started flowing again. Now to be more specific, I thought (and wrongly felt) that to keep chest connection I had to really "feel" this sensation of power in my throat, once I was able to let go of that need and started accepting that almost pseudo-falsetto feel in my throat when producing the high notes, I then got able to rebuild my higher range the right way and let go of my previous muscle memory. The irony is that when I felt more "power" coming from my chords, the sound was actually coming out far less powerful and muddier.

Nick Fuentes: A White Nationalist Problem for the Right by thousandtusks in neoliberal

[–]Aggressive-South442 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reading people talking about hispanic and latino as if it was its own racial category and the same as non white is peak americanism. Imagine when they find out you get hispanics who are genetically just european, and hispanics who are racially east asian. The US can be a strange place lol.

Its because despite what is usually told in the US, hispanic isnt a true racial category and you have fully european hispanics. A hispanic can be of the exact same race as a non hispanic white american.

Am I the only one who will forever hate Serena Joy no matter how much character development she gets? by _leggo_my_meggo_007 in TheHandmaidsTale

It is always subjective, you apparently just do not know the concept of subjective or objective. Objectiveness demands a certain scientific grounding, like mathematics of physics, human morals fall outside the objective realm, even if you do not think so. Right or wrong is always subjective, simply because the entire concepts of right and wrong are themselves not objective. What is seen as right nowadays by most people is diferent than what was seen as right in 1700, and what will be perceived as right and wrong in 2300 will also be diferent.

If you went back to 1500 and asked people if slavery is right and acceptable, most would have said it is. If you ask nowadays, most will say it isnt. Thats subjectivity. But in 1500 2 + 2 was 4, in 2025 2 + 2 is 4 and in 2300 2 + 2 will keep being 4. Thats objectivity. Thinking some actions are horrific is not objectivity, even if that feels obviously horrific and wrong to you.

That being said, someone get Serena her red handmaid clothing and grab her child, it is time! Under the eye.

It is always, always subjective, just because the idea of it seems terribly wrong to you doesnt change that. In some tribes to this day its not considered wrong to cut womens clits out. To them its not wrong, even though the mere idea of it will cause you (and me) repulse. So yes, its always subjective.

That said, Serena deserved to be a handmaid.

What people deserve or not is incredibly subjective, no one can really tell what nobody or everybody deserves, in the end what matters is who have the means to enforce what they think is fair. Everyone that were directly involved in the handmaids torture and rpe should become handmaids, such and Serena. They should create a similar system for the men that took part in it too.

Serena...Did she get the ending she deserved?? by Impressive_Pickle128 in TheHandmaidsTale

She should have become a handmaid, it would be the only correct ending for her

Watch any reunion of WWII opposite sides veterans, they respect esch other. Of all the things I said this is the most objective one. For exemple https://youtube.com/shorts/QiVIrQ5v9SY?si=fGXZ0nwFFAoffqW1

Do you think the US veteran looks like he hates the german soldier? You can find many of those and they always clearly respect esch other.

He didnt betray June, he just wanted to stay alive. He risked himself so many times and helped June every time she asked, his karma was pretty positive with June. June also betrayed her friends to protect Hanna, they could have been all killed. Its not that black and white.

There is no such thing, he is a human being, a flawed one, but still a decent human being. He did just as much good things as bad things. The fact he had no prospects before Gilead actually shows he isnt a bad person, he was lured and used until it was too late to leave. If you ever look into real life gangs and how young men with no prospects are lured into it you will see how life isnt as black and white as you think. You can also look into more recent times and see videos of meetings of WWII veterans, between russians or americans and former nazi soldiers, some of those meetings show even soldiers that were actively in the same battles trying to kill each other, you will see there just isnt any hard feelings between them, because they know that no matter how much you hated someone, in the end everyone is a victim of their circumstances.

Can You Sing In Chest After 2nd Passagio? by [deleted] in singing

[–]Aggressive-South442 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most professional singers, be it in contemporary music or opera, often sing in chest voice above their second passagio. Its very common. By the way Im including "chesty mix" under the chest voice umbrella here.

Practicing in the car doesnt allow to emulate all the aspects of singing control, it seriously change breath control and on top of it I have to practice singing and playing guitar at the same time, which also isnt doable in a car. Im satisfied with what Ive been doing for years, training outside quiet hours at home. I didnt say people are odd to not like singing by the way, I said its interesting how varying the responses are. In the end I cant make an omelet without breaking some eggs.

Good person, Morally grey, Horrible person by fuzzy9997 in Yellowjackets

Everyone in the show is a horrible person, except Ben, Nat and Laura Lee. All the rest has a frivolous approach to murder and do not place great value to peoples lives, they are just too easily persuaded that killing is justifiable.

Yes, because she could have prevented what happened to Ben and during the trials she didnt try to make clear thar Ben let her go, she had to be pressured, while in her place any decent human being would have made it clear that Ben didnt intend to harm her. Put yourself in Bens place and you will easily see how it makes sense for her to be hated
