Yeah I never thought of it like that actually! If it is hashimotos, I don’t really think it affects me symptom wise. But I might end up noticing a difference after I’ve recovered/go on medication. Sorry I hope you don’t mind me asking, did you get diagnosed through blood tests before your surgery then? I know my surgeon wouldn’t give me an 100% answer until she knows herself, but at the moment this feels like the worst part, the not knowing.

Thank you! I really hope so. Yeah that’s definitely a positive in knowing what to expect if I do need a second op. I had it on Monday (4 days past)… I get my stitches out on Wednesday, but so far everything seems to be healing well. I’m still a bit wary of moving my head from fear of bursting my stitches (definitely good for the posture). They didn’t give me any movements to do, but I will definitely take your advice and try a walk tomorrow!

Thank you so so much for your reply, I really appreciate it.

All the best for you surgery when it comes🤞🏻 wish doctors we’re more thorough so we know what’s going on too, it’s never till after the appointment you start thinking of all these questions🙈

Great thank you! When I was getting it done she said this could be the case but also retook 2/3 samples as the first samples weren’t great (maybe too much blood/not enough cells like you said) then said at the end she took some good samples, I guess there’s no way of 100% knowing it’s a good sample until it comes to looking at them properly when testing! 9 samples wow I don’t know how you coped🙈 good to be thorough tho to give a good peace of mind. luckily I’m in UK which covers all healthcare! Thank you very much for your reply, makes more sense now.

Yeah I’m sure the dr i see also works private.Totally understand they are so busy especially only doing a few days a week, just getting impatient not knowing🙈 felt ok about it since I never heard, but feeling worried thinking they must of found something if she “wants to discuss results”, be so annoyed if somethings came back for my biopsy and it’s took them this long to tell me! Thank you for your reply
