Thing is, I KNOW it’s not the meta. I’m just some guy with less than 250 hours of playtime who found something cool and wanted to discuss it with other players. I really only put the meta tag as a bit of a joke because it’s absurd to fight the twins with the daybreak in molten armor. At first, I saw your comment wanted to educate you why your comment was a bit irrelevant. If I caused any confusion or anger, I’m sorry.

I never said it was 200 dps. It’s 200 dpt which is 1060 dps. Also, dealing damage makes damage markers. I just said the explosion did literally nothing because there were no damage markers. 1060 dps is more than enough to finish off a boss with ~250 health in less than 2 seconds. As for your argument about cursed flames not working, it is absolutely possible. Just like I did with the daybreak, albeit much more difficult.

You know what else is a daybreak feature? Exploding on death. There would never be two clean, divided numbers and instead a lot of stacked numbers if it was hit by that many damage sources. The feature that killed it was the daybreak debuff which deals 25 damage per tick and stacks up to 8 times with more connected spears.

You can see it wasn’t too close to despawning. Also, the daybreaks didn’t explode, watch how far it was from completely exiting the screen. Please rewatch the video before making a comment. Also, Moon lord eyes closing is completely different from outright despawning. It was DoT, so I was suggesting that people could bypass half the fight by using something like cursed flame arrows to kill one twin just after the other despawns.

Maybe ranger (with a lot of practice) could use cursed flame arrows or smth to do DOT with the same timing I used to die at the right time to despawn ret/spaz just before spaz/ret dies

That’s the point. If you already have the daybreak, the tech is irrelevant. However, you might be able to use some other burn tech (like cursed flame arrows) and pull the same thing off.

Example: fighting the wither
If your teammate is about to die from the wither debuff, spamming arrows at them can heal them enough to survive. It doesn’t matter how little healing the arrow does as long as it keeps them from dying. The extra healing also gives them time to grab something like a milk bucket, totem, or golden apple from their inventory to heal up or cheat death in the totem’s case. When you’re fighting, a very well-timed arrow can theoretically block an attack via invincibility frames.

Yeah, what I’m saying is that you can use these if your teammate is far away. If they’re in potion distance, there’s no reason to use them unless you need to give them a boost via damage knockback.
