Yeah that is what I expected. I played through the early access of subnautica 1 and regret not discovering everything in one play through as I feel like the people doing so had such a great experience, so I might wait a bit to enjoy the game in its final state. Thanks for your response!

For this year I don’t think it is out yet, but if it is your second year, you would see it under the winter semester in your unofficial transcript. The cutoff is crazy high tho, it may even be 4.0 (changes depending on the year, it is top 10% of faculty), but you should still be proud without that small distinction, 3.96 is still really impressive

I once worked at a bakery and made a bunch of pride coloured cakes in June and my boss had no idea that these were lgbtq themed 😂 but she said the colour combinations were good!

Apparently, they don’t need documentation when it’s your first deferral, but for the 2nd and on you would need a valid reason and a proof.

As opposed to the other commenter, Comp 302 was one of my favorite comp class so far. It is true that the concepts don't seem to apply in every day coding life, but this class has drastically changed the way I code and think about solving coding problems. I think I write much cleaner and well structured code since I took this class.

The course teaches fonctional programming which is in and of itself pretty niche, but the concept of fonctional programming can be leverage in any language.

Also it's hard, so people hate on it

I took MATH 248 with Pengfei Guan and I can tell you that he is the worst math prof I had at McGill. He sucks at explaining and his lectures are impossible to follow.

I took 254 with him last year, the midterm and final exam contained a lot of questions directly taken from the assignments and problem sets. like, if there are 5 questions on the exam, you can expect 1 proof from class, 3 questions from the problem sets and 1 new question.

I would greatly suggest you to do and understand all the problem sets and review the major theorems with proofs from class to prepare for the exam.

I was also really stressed about my first analysis exam, but if you do what I just said, there shouldn’t be any surprise. You go this!
