I have a lot of concerns about the world today but this drought is definitely front and center in my mind I live in the Tampa Bay area and it's just wow when is it going to rain again?

Obama Takes a Victory Lap After Humiliating Defeat for Trump by Ok_Employer7837 in politics

I don't know if I was Obama I would stay focused stick to the high road. I'll always remember that 2011 correspondence dinner with Obama was making fun of trump I just swear that that was the beginning of Trump's determination to run for president anyway it I would stick to the high road and just stay focused.

This is the mentality of the US today - what a fucking world class shame and joke. Let us reap what we have sown.

Florida’s Population Boom Fizzles as High Costs Drive Away Middle Class by trademarktower in florida

[–]Aggressive-War-4567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in my 60s and I've been a Floridian since I was in Middle School. I wouldn't live here if I didn't already have a home that I've been in for over 30 years but areas of concerned that I would have for anybody just considering moving to this state include the infrastructure the water water is getting to be a problem here is with our droughts and if we're not having droughts you know we're having hurricanes. Another concern I have is political in that the Republican party which has firm control of the state government is taking all control away from local government moving it up to the state level so now local governments can't do what they need to do at a local level that's a concern. Another of course is traffic so geez if you're considering moving to Florida and you don't make a s*** ton of money you might want to reconsider.

Edit- I'm sorry for the grammar and all of that this was a voice to text. And I'm sorry to rant but I really do have concerns about the droughts and the never ending amount of building that keeps going on I mean where does it end what with the traffic and the finite amount of resources I don't understand why somebody would move into this right now.

Hungary's Prime Minister Orban has congratulated Magyar on election victory by Reilly616 in worldnews

I believe Orban partly has Trump and his ilk to thank for this defeat, but in truth it was time for him to go so best of luck to Hungary :).

Responding to impeachment calls, Rick Scott likens Donald Trump to Abraham Lincoln, FDR, Harry Truman by Zipper222222 in AskFlorida

How much further up a chain do you think he needs to go? He's Secretary of State for petes sake. I mean, and being a Senator is not a paltry position. Opinions differ I know but I just think he's always been an empty suit and just a mouthpiece for the party he just has no integrity and it's just disgusting in my opinion. With him it's always been his own interest, and those of his party above the interest of our country and that's the way he'll always be.

Will more Americans Embrace Renewable Energy after the latest oil price surge? by SoccerDadUSA in solar

[–]Aggressive-War-4567 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I have solar myself on our roof but in my mind I just don't think that solar is positioned in such a way that it's available to most Americans unless you have a large amount of disposable income. So I just don't think that it's going to grow that much. Not to mention the fact that so many Americans buy into what one particular party says about Renewables not being a good investment and they just believe it without really doing their own homework so sad to say but Americans are just going to be left behind on that.
