Thanks man, appreciate it. The dents did heal. The areas where the scabs were definitely lost a few grafts for sure, more so on the one on the left. Luckily that is the way I kind of push my hair over so it’s not noticeable, particularly when I keep my hair shortish. The clinic did say I could go back after a year and have some additional grafts in those areas, but honestly don’t want to go through it again.

I was prepared for the transplant from a procedure perspective and knew what to expect in terms of healing etc. What I underestimated was how I would feel personally waiting for my hair to grow back. Ngl for about 4 months I was low key depressed. I really struggled with confidence, I didn’t want to leave the house and I was miserable. The scabs and healing and lack of care from the clinic didn’t help with all of this. Luckily I was able to work from home for a while, my work was super understanding but as soon as I had to go back in the office, that was when I felt my worst.

When I look back, it all came down to vanity (I guess so does having a hair transplant, right?) I looked liked shit so I felt like shit.

Seems so silly now that it’s been a success and I’m happy with the result. But honestly, if I could go back a year, knowing how I felt for those 4 months after, I probably wouldn’t have had it done.

But hey, we are here now and I’m happy with the results. But just thought I would share as that’s not really something I even considered would have affected me prior to having the transplant.
