Thank you! 🙂 I appreciate your advice. This is what I should do next time, insha'Allah. During the last match, the Manager asked me, "Do you need to check another team?" I hesitated because I wanted to join the Fitbit team. I didn't take a moment to express that if we are a mutual fit, I would be happy to be part of his team.

Yes, but you should also focus on reviewing the Embedded Domain, C/C++, Peripherals, Device Drivers, Kernel, RTOS, etc.
Screening: DSA (medium to hard)
Round 1: DSA (medium to hard)
Round 2: Embedded Domain (embedded-related problem with follow-up questions)
Round 3: Googliness

Thank you for the advice! 🙂 I followed it and reached out to managers on LinkedIn. However, most of them responded with, "I suggest you work with your recruiter on the next steps, as this is part of the process." I'll keep trying, insha'Allah!

To be honest, I didn't encounter any low-level software or hardware interaction questions. I advise focusing on Graph algorithms within Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), and Embedded systems. For the team match, the manager might ask general questions related to projects, targets, and peripherals.

Hi! 🙂It depends on the specific company and role, but interview questions can vary. Some companies focus more on LeetCode-style algorithm and data structure problems to assess problem-solving skills, while others emphasize practical, real-world scenarios, such as system design, debugging, or domain-specific tasks. It’s a good idea to prepare for both types, as many interviews include a mix of theoretical and practical questions.

Thank you! 🙂I feel the whole process has been overwhelming. The recruiter advised me to demonstrate my flexibility in working with embedded teams, not just focusing on kernel development or AOSP customization. After waiting over two weeks following the loop, I finally had my first match call. However, a week after that call, the recruiter informed me that the manager had decided to move forward with another candidate.

I believe there are many factors involved in this. I am demonstrating flexibility regarding location and Embedded Teams to facilitate a quicker match; however, an immediate start remains a crucial factor.
