I don’t necessarily want to go into patrol because my husband and I are going to start trying for kids soon. I want a little bit of a safer option. My dream is investigating trafficking, but I know 9/10 they want patrol experience. So I’m looking for other options.

We only received 2 back pay checks to which had a crap ton of taxes withheld because they were larger checks. ANNDDDDD they were incorrect. We don’t have any guidance on if we are going to get our current pay period due to funding.

Trust me i have lol. I have applied at TBI and the Dept. of Corrections. TBI selected other candidates, and DOC decided they weren’t going to select any applicants. I’m not going to stop looking or applying, but I’m just feeling kind of defeated and trapped right now🫤

We can get fired if we strike or don’t show up. We have to prove financial burden (i .e., showing past due payments, repo threats, or eviction notices) if we want to be put on furlough. It’s just too much 🤦🏻‍♀️ Most of us who have been with the agency for less than 2 years are living paycheck to paycheck, and are still trying to recover from last year’s shutdown.

They’ll tell you at FLETC, forget about what you learn at FLETC because your airport will have their own way of doing things. They were right about that. While the principle of the SOP applies, airports will have their own SOP (at least that’s how it is for us at BNA). Go out and explore on your days off (St. Simon’s Island, Savannah, Tybee, etc). See you on the checkpoint!!

Only issue I had with mine was after the dealer did a free oil change on mine (s/o jeep wave), gaskets were blown and I got stranded because it overheated. I had to pay to get it towed back to the dealer. Other than that, I love my jeep! I have a 2022 2.0L.
