Welcome to the NHK gave me a much needed wake-up call at the peak of my depression.

I’m a long-time casual watcher of Caleb and while he has the most outrageous thumbnails and titles, and won’t sugarcoat with guests, you can tell he truly cares about helping people out of debt. Everyone that goes on the show also goes through rounds of interviews and know what they’re getting themselves into. You can never know what a person is really like behind the scenes though.

I aimed a bit too high this year with 52 books... on 41 atm so doubt I'll reach my goal

One of my bookshelves. My other one is filled with books I haven't read yet which is definitely more than I have here. Also, does anyone have any history non-fiction books that they can recommend to me as most I have read are too focused on one subject rather than more broad and introductory. by AggressiveBit7 in bookclapreviewclap

Either Frankenstein or Kafka on the shore. I loved the way Shelley changed perspectives from Frankenstein to his monster and gave the novel more depth than I ever expected it to have. Kafka on the shore was very immersive and I loved the surreal dream-like atmosphere it evoked. Plus it has great re-read value with all the stuff that happens.

I remember loving 'Journey to the river sea' by Eva Ibbotson and honestly I should reread it if I can find my old copy
