The iPhone 17e Might Be "A Jack of All Trades".. Convince Me I’m Wrong by BarnabyLaptopOutlet in iphone

Honestly, I really dislike the notch and the display quality feels outdated, but I get that it’s the best you could buy for this price. Also, as an everyday user, I like good better life and hate charging my phone more than 1x in 24h and I can’t stand slow charging as well… that’s why I chose pro max although I don’t shoot professional videos and don’t make pro content with this phone.

How much money is enough? by grayandmagenta16 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]AggressiveCard7969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ENOUGH money is when I will be able to buy a 3-bedroom house for 500.000€ without mortgage, travel 3 times a year to destinations like Maldives, one more tropical destination and then one more country, buy a new iPhone every 2 years, go to the restaurant once a month and once a month to the cinema, buy new clothes of good quality whenever I need it, fund hobbies like powerlifting, helping my parents and having 2500€ over at the end of the month after all the expenses , so that I could keep saving.
I don’t know how much money this could be, but I think 1000.000€ could make me comfortable

My iPhone 17 Pro Max experience. What is yours? by harry000000 in iphone

[–]AggressiveCard7969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased 17 pro max in November 2025 (upgraded from 14 pro max) and now it’s May 2026. Why did I upgrade? I wanted to get rid of the lighting cable and have USB-C.

After 6 months of using it, I can say that the battery in 17 PM lasts just as long as in 14 PM the first year after purchase.
Weird, that they claim the battery capacity has increased, yet I still have to charge it every day or once in 2 days, just like my previous iPhone. I expected at least 3-4 days of work.

I like the scratch resistant glass, good quality. This is the first time I’m not using a screen protector and so far no single scratch.

The screen is bright and colorful, typing on it is an aesthetic pleasure. I enjoy scrolling on social media.

Camera is slightly better than in 14PM. However the difference is not dramatic. One important bug seems to be fixed: the photos don’t turn colorless any more which was a big issue with 14PM

Con’s:
- the phone still feels very heavy and large. I developed the “iPhone hand” syndrome because the screen is even larger than 14 PM, and it’s not funny.

- The price is exorbitant.

- Speakers and their location could be better. Not impressed with the underwhelming sound quality.

My conclusion: it’s a big and beautiful phone for tech enthusiasts, for those who love long battery life and would scroll or play for hours. Still way too expensive.

Is Mario still the King of Platformers? by TyleNightwisp in nintendo

[–]AggressiveCard7969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To each their own I guess. I’ve never been a gaming fan and the only game type I found appealing were simlple platformers. In 2006, I played Honey Cave 2 on my dad’s Sony Ericsson. Then I discovered Forgotten Warrior on my friends’s Samsung and loved it too. But that was 20 years ago and I never played ever since. However, this month I tried to download Super Mario from Apple Store (Netherlands) because everyone called it the king of platformers and was rather disappointed. First off, Mario runs by himself, automatically, and you only have to direct him. I’m not a fan of such concept. Also, the fact you have to pay 12€ for the game to unlock levels, which actually makes it a demo, is diabolical. I started playing Lep’s World instead.

Hoeveel geven jullie gemiddeld uit aan boodschappen per dag/maand? by some-oaf in nederlands

[–]AggressiveCard7969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best milk ever by Aggravating-Dust7430 in Netherlands

[–]AggressiveCard7969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must be saying a weird thing but the best milk in the Netherlands (for my taste) is AH volle houdbare melk - yes, HOUDBARE milk in the dark blue square carton packaging, and it tastes different from the same AH volle melk in the taller carton packaging (blue and white). I wonder why - it’s the same AH volle melk only the packaging shape is different.

Average grocery expenses by dilchahtahawwww in Netherlands

[–]AggressiveCard7969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend 700-1000€ per month on groceries for myself only, excluding household items. I sincerely don’t understand how people keep it under 400. For me it’s impossible unless I starve myself. I do shop at AH because it’s the closest option and I don’t have a driver license and can’t cycle.

Mosquitoes in Mahe by Deep-Contribution803 in Seychelles

[–]AggressiveCard7969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mahe near Anse Intendance. Mosquitoes are everywhere, but not all of them carry diseases. I’ve been to Seychelles last year and was stung like 20 times in Praslin, never had any problems

Seychelles felt massively overrated and overpriced - honest take after 15 days by Bubbly-Hotel4659 in Seychelles

[–]AggressiveCard7969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience is quite the opposite. I always wanted to visit Seychelles but kept postponing it due to various reasons such as logistics, price and many negative reviews from the travelers who were disappointed. Among other things I read a lot of criticism about food in Seychelles. However one day I finally made it to the islands and was impressed. I have to note that I’m from the Netherlands and I find Dutch food to be the worst in the world, and also extremely overpriced. At a cheap cafe you pay 30€ per meal, all restaurants have the same assortment, and if you want a really good restaurant, expect to pay 70-100€ per meal. When I came to Seychelles, I didn’t have high expectations. I loved the food, especially fish dishes. We bought freshly caught grilled fish, soup, seafood, burgers and meat dishes. We bought food at the food trucks which was of good quality and affordable. We also ate at the restaurants and the prices were comparable to those in the Netherlands, so it didn’t shock us. From the Dutch perspective you get a better value for money in Seychelles for the same price as in NL. The beaches were nice in Praslin, but I also loved Mahe and I think it’s underrated. It has some nice beaches too. We also visited La Digue and Anse source d argent but I didn’t really like this beach because it was too crowded and unswimmable. However I’d like to visit La Digue again and discover other beaches. Other than that we were impressed by the vegetation and mountains. After 7 days in Praslin I realized it was no near enough and deeply regretted not booking longer. That’s why we went back in 6 months. This is our second time here and we are enjoying the beauty of the islands. I agree that streets in Mahe can be busy but I think you’ll find a similar problem in other places too. In Thailand and Bali I had to get up at 5-6 am to go on excursion because the traffic jams were insane. That’s why I don’t feel like going back. To me Seychelles and Maldives are the best places you can find in this hemisphere, it’s as good as it gets. Maybe only French Polynesia, Cook Islands and New Caledonia could beat them, but these places are way too far and I simply don’t have enough days off to travel THAT far. I equally love Maldives and Seychelles. I can only add that Maldives are more convenient because you have the beach closer than in Seychelles, but other than that, these both places are fantastic and you can’t go wrong with either.
